Somewhat Cools the Air but Not Enough When It's Over 100 Outside
6/29/25 Update: When it’s in the 90s outside this makes the interior room around 84 degrees which is bearable. But when it’s in the 100s outside it’s closer to 90 inside here which is definitely not bearable. I have the thing running full blast with refrigerated water, ice cubes, and ice packs. This unit is definitely not as advertised. And the humidity is between 11-17% which isn’t very high, however I like it better than a portable a/c unit I just got that though it cools better, it's not by much, and uses 10x the power. I use this on days that the high is in the 90s, otherwise I have to use the central air that eats up a bit of power. Thank you.6/23/25 Update: Because of a spike (basically double) in energy usage a little after Summer started, I bought energy monitoring plugs at the advice of an aps employee. Found out on low cool this unit uses 1.1 kWh per day (24 hours). On medium cool shows to be 1.3 kWh yet both days I used this unit a lot before, aps reported very high energy use. It could’ve been a coincidence something else (central A/C unit?) had a spike in energy use those same days. Will see what aps shows tomorrow but the plug shows low energy use for this device. It cools ok with cold water and ice. Not as cold as I’d like but not bad. Thank you.Original Review: You have to have it full of cold water, the 4 ice packs (need to buy 4 more or 2 larger size for continuous use), and ice cubes for the device to actually get a small room cool in 1 hour. So we’ll keep it. Not happy about the pump attachment in the water basin drawer. Actually lost the screws. They should’ve made it easier to detach, like the wheels. It’s much better to remove the basin to dump old, dirty water. There’s no thermostat which is a bummer, but there’s different/lighter settings which helps. It’s not an a/c but a swamp cooler so shouldn’t have been advertised as such. I probably would’ve gotten something else knowing what I know now, but it’d be a hassle to return and get something better, and this seems to work okay. Thank you.

Not the worst
It’s not bad for the money but if you want a true swamp cooler best to pay a fee more hundred because this isn’t it
