I loooooove my Rug Doctor. I got tired of running down to the store that has these to rent them and hope they had the large size. We have pets and a pet sitting business. This thing has saved the rug so many times. It has a very strong and fast bristle attachment, you can also get an upholstery tool, and it sucks up the water and debris (and whatever else that was). This is the cleaner that is in all the stores, and all the used ones for rent were still in excellent condition. After reading reviews, this was the one to get. The quality is outstanding. The rug dries pretty quickly for as many passes as I have to do because the rug area is large. Excellent cleaning power. I got the large size machine because it is wider and covers more carpet area. This machine does not leak any nasty water. Again, I love this machine.

This is perfect, it is easy to store in my garage I got tired of renting one so I decided to purchase my own and it is the best thing I could have ever done. It does not leak and the carpet dries quickly got stains out of my carpet I didn't would come out. It was every penny spent on it.

This works perfectly great. A lot of people are saying I can rent them. Sure I can but do that when I can used it anytime I want to.

Cleans rugs like the pros, also bought the hand tool as well I give this cleaner a 10 out of 10

Not really happy with this machine. Kind of shocked at the price versus lackluster performance. Even out of the box, first time using it my carpets were too wet and we had to put towels down. Suction is not great at all, just okay. It only cleans one way so that doubles your cleaning time. Cleaning is pretty good. It is bulky, and heavy so it won’t break easily. Would never buy this again and feel like we wasted 500$

Rug DR. does the deep cleaning..... Have used or rented a Rug Dr. for years. Have done ton's of research renting or buying and decided to SPEND THE $$$ and take the AMAZON LEAP, with this Rug Dr.... GLAD I DID.... Decided to use the 3 year extended warranty (Asurion Protection) suggested by Amazon. Amazon Delivery Service Fantastic, Asurion Protection promptly Reached Out to Me. Terrible, thats how bad my experience was. It has a high rating and I'll explain for that below. As an 18 year carpet cleaning professional i needed a smaller machine for tight spaces. I ignored those commenting on poor suction as being newbies 1st timers not knowing how to operate it. Well, they were absolutely right. I knew there was something wrong with it on my 2 pass when i saw very little water going into the return tank through the clear window. At first I thought it wasn't putting enough shampoo solution down on the carpet. Then I felt the carpet and it was saturated, extremely wet. I made sure both solution and return tanks were on properly, checked my vacuum hoses they were connected tight, everything was right. The simple answer was the suction is terrible, its not strong enough to remove all the excess water it puts down. I use an old Bissell 86T3 Big Green Machine I used in house between deep cleanings to remove all the soapy water the Rug Doctor left on the carpet. I was seriously stunned how much water i pulled from the carpet. That much water left on the carpet will not dry for days and black mold will form under your carpet and create a health hazard. It can also warp your wood floors underneath your carpet if not seal. With that said the high ratings are for all Rug Doctor models not just this X3 Pro. I can't vouch for the other models. They either don't make them the way they used to or a bunch of customers like myself wound up with all these lemons or a serious design flaw in the X3 pro on flat commercial carpet. IMO i can't see it working better on plush or berber carpets either. I would stay away from the Rug Doctor X3 pro models until they come out with an answer or design change on this (so called) new model. I returned the Rug Doctor immediately and bought another Bissell 86T3 Big Green Machine. The Bissell proheat 2x carpet cleaner will also out perform the Rug Dr X3 pro. Please choose wisely...

This is the second Rug Doctor I've bought. The X3 is very simple to use and there is a lot less "flaffing about" messing about with water tanks. I KNOW IT'S NOT THE CHEAPEST ONE YOU CAN BUY !!!! My problem was I have several rescue dogs and with the weather we've just had, they bring "the great outdoors" back into the house with them. The RED X3 lets you use hot water from the tap in your water tank. The BLUE X3 doesn't mention that ?? Also check the voltage there seems to be a few 110v machines around - if you need 240v CHECK B4 you buy. 👍
