Peace of mind.
We have a gas furnace, hot water tank, range and vented emergency heater. Just plug it in and it tells you it's warming up then gives you the blue light. No gas detected but if something should go wrong I feel better knowing it is on the job.

Great product
Works great!

Works fine from my own test.
Works ok, it does respond to the leaked gas after about 1.5 minutes of one stove gas on in full , not fast but ok compared to my other gas detector that did nothing. Note since the natural gas is lighter than air around so the detector should be mounted over the stove.Check the video to see my test result.

Perfectly loud and perfectly obnoxious alert
Was really surprised how happy we are with this, happy to know it's there. The alert voice is perfectly loud and perfectly obnoxious. Set up was easy

FAILED TO DETECT NATURAL GAS
We bought this for an elderly Aunt who wants to remain independent, but is getting forgetful. Testing it out first at our house, you need to plug it in and wait ~3 minutes for it to 'warm up' and become active so it can sense natural gas in the atmosphere. Conveniently, there's a plug ~30" from the furthest burner, and about 8" above the counter. During the wait, you can 'touch' the front logo and with each touch, it simulates 3 increasingly severe warnings which are very loud, and the voice issuing the warnings is a female voice and it is very clear to hear from a good distance away. The problem is, after warmup when it is supposed to detect gas it completely fails to do so. After leaving the unlit large burner on full for at over a minute, to the point that with me standing several feet away from the stove I could smell the gas very strongly, the alarm failed to trip. I even took a towel, and fanned the gas toward the sensor to see if the flow was just not getting to it, still the alarm did not trip. We're returning this, and will not be repurchasing this brand. It only has one very important job to do correctly, and it failed miserably. If you have one of these installed, I highly recommend you retest it with actual gas to make sure it's really working. Do not be lulled and convinced it is working because the touch button makes an alarm noise.

Crucial if you're using LPG indoors
The dual-voltage compatibility on this unit is awesome. I'm using it in the Philippines (~230vac) with no issues at all. It's common here for kitchen setups to employ under-cabinet enclosed LPG cylinders, which is totally not safe, but people do it anyway. This unit has already activated several times, which led me to find a defective fitting on my rental property's stove. Paid for itself in less than a week (imo).
