Picked up the Tonmifr 10mm grommet punch kit, and it’s pretty useful. Punch pliers feel sturdy, and the 300 metal grommets give plenty for lots of projects. Works well on fabric, leather, and canvas – perfect for craft or DIY jobs. Only minor gripe is the pliers can feel a bit stiff at first, and alignment takes a little practice. Otherwise, solid kit, good value, and makes adding eyelets quick and easy.

The pliers require a great deal of force to close but I am 70 years old younger people would find it acceptable, I found the magnets to be quite good. You have to be careful selecting the washers as they are quite thin, if you pickup 2 washers by mistake this is where one washer may fall off, it also could be a little harder to close the handles. These are not a problem with the product just a novice with use. I was installing grommets on tarpaulin doubled over for strength. I am quite happy with the product, operation and value for money.

As some other reviews have stated the magnet holding the washer isn’t strong enough so if you are holding the device at an angle the washer has a tendency to fall out. Also the washers are so thin it is very easy to pick up two together without realising it. Mechanism doesn’t push through the fabric (I used it on an awning). Thought I would be able to use the punch afterwards to cut the material instead but it is too large and I ended up mangling the eyelet and then damaged the fabric further by trying to get it out. If you punch the hole first then fit the eyelet it is ok but not clear from instructions. However cutting edge of punch not very sharp.Print on the instruction leaflet very small and difficult to read even with glasses. Managed to finish the job snd the eyelets do look good but not as easy as I anticipated.
