Italeri 1:72 - Confederate Troops (American Civil War)

Lovely set of 1:72 Confederate Civil War figures (40+ standing and kneeling infantry figures plus 1 horse and Officer). The mouldings are highly detailed so to bring out the best in them be prepared and have some extra fine modeling brushes and magnifying lenses. Recommended paint colours are given on the rear of the box but to be honest just get some basic acrylic paints and you should be able to mix just about all you need. Great little set from Italari and don't forget their Union infantry if you wish to put together a diorama of a US Civil War battle. Great idea for the a school history project or just home decoration. The are some great diorama images to be found on this new-fangled inter-web thingy!

I bought these for my son who very much enjoys setting up battle scenes and has been reading about the US civil war. The soldiers are mono-coloured and finely detailed. They certainly wouldn't stand up to any rough play, but they are really not designed as that sort of toy. The main difficulty with them is that they are fixed onto two sheets off plastic. You have to twist the soldiers to free them. The connections are far too thick to do this. I had to heat up a knife and cut through the plastic holds to release them. It might be possible to do the same with scissors but I think you might risk a few soldiers limbs in doing so. The whole process took around half an hour to complete.

Ottimo prodotto, soprattutto nella confezione dei figurini. Prodotto nuovo, scatola in ottimo stato (per i collezionisti è un bene primario) imballaggio veramente fatto bene ad evitare urti e deformazioni del contenuto.
