Traditional Clip Point American Classic 8/10 Buy!
Another hit from GTKii …. This is in DC63 and the 2 tone blade treatment is not aggressive and is quite nicely done. The blade and tang are not as keenly finished as their stainless versions. Those have more chamfering and melding of edges. This knife is blockier with a more of an all business look to it. It’s still very well done and scales mate well. No gaps or proud areas. Edge grind is even and sharp for the stock thickness. This maker is making a knife series that is just as nice as the newer Eafengrow and Sitivien brands. At significantly less money. This is my 4th GTKii. Keep them coming! Stick to the traditional styles, and keep low on the “glitz”

In case you were wonderin'
In case you were wondering. Thankfully the color isn't the one in the description. It is called army green on import knives. The knife feels "hefty" and solid. With a little ingenuity a dangler can be made so the knife hangs from waist. Use your knife for its intended purpose, if you want to split wood buy an axe they are cheap.

A ton of knife.
This is a hefty chopper. The handle scales are slick and somewhat square block feeling. Tough hard sheath with steel belt clip that’s look like it means business. Very sharp.

Legit quality budget blade.
Picked this up to give the DC53 steel a go. And, also, it looks really cool. This is a pretty good budget knife steel that most likely wont offer any drawbacks from other budget steel blades, with a few added benefits over some others. One point of maintenance that should be addressed is oiling the blade. DC53 is at risk of rusting and the oil will help prevent that. Not an unreasonable task for something in this price range that also offers good toughness and decent edge retention. The blade came oiled and well sharpened. It has an excellent, heavy feel with a nice handle profile. Perhaps new scales in the future as a fun project but fully functional as is with no complaints. I have not beat this thing through a battery of tests and don't plan to immediately. Based on what I have read and what I see initially the steel type advertised seems legit and expect it to function accordingly. Its big. And it looks cool too. Secondary of course but not unworthy of mention. It wont be the best self defense weapon with its weight, though it would get the job done most likely if you had to, AND practice with it. I prefer to put defense needs behind a fast light blade behind a more poppy powdered tool. You do you, maybe this is perfect for your preferences in that regard. This is a big, obvious blade that may deter someone from creating a situation of self sefense for you however. Hard to miss hanging off a belt. Check local carry laws, blah blah blah. Thus far, good buy. Fit and finish, handling and style, steel used, everything is above or at least on par with what you should expect in something of this nature. I expect it will find many daily uses around the property and should live up to task without disappointment. If not, I will update.
