If I'd paid more, I would have expected more features, but for the price, this is a great little portable metronome. The earplug was functional, but if you want something better, use some earbuds from an iPod or equivalent. I do like the dial models like this, and the only thing I can see where it comes up short is the dim red blinking light. It works fine, but seems like a waste and not too practical.
