I have cut very thin slices of cucumber. The thickness is changed with a leaver so that it cuts from very thin to about 10mm. This is a really solid item and will last. **Q: Please confirm which blades are supplied with this model** A: The BR001 comes with a pre-fitted slicing blade that can be replaced, as well as a 'crinkle' blade and two julienne blades. I haven't investigated but suspect that the 'crinkle' blade can't be replaced.It's very well built and is bigger than I expected but really is a professional tool. **Q: Is this the Original Heavy Duty "Bron Mandoline" with stainless steel pusher, 38 blades? Just want to make sure it is a "full option".** A: The pusher is stainless steel. It does not have 38 blades though you can purchase optional extra blades. Mine came with 10mm & 3mm julienne blades, straight cutter and crinkle cutter. Practice is needed and watch out for the very sharp blades. I use mine frequently and enjoy it. Great to slice super thin onion or ridged potatoe or French fries.
