Great buy
Perfect lil kit been using for over a year never an issue. Super accurate it will weigh a hair even having a fan on in the room will cause it to fluctuate its so sensitive. Would buy again if needed but hopefully that should be long time from now

Impressive Little Thing & Sturdier than it Should Be. Only use S and XS weigh boats on it
Okay I've had this thing for years and went a long time without using it, because how often do I really need a milligram scale? The first thing I will mention is you should only get this for taking mass of things you can fit on that half-dollar sized weigh surface. Bigger trays will still be pretty accurate if they hang over the sides of the tray but are CENTERED, but ideally only use small boats. Anyway I finally retired my ancient hundredth-g scale and got a replacement - that started failing to hold zero after tare after 4-5 months! I reached for this to get a second opinion and, though it has travelled to and from lab as a backup for literally years and was not cared for as delicately as I know it should be, I didn't even have to calibrate it when I pulled it back out and it is still perfectly accurate at thousandth precision. every few months I will calibrate it if it's in use but it's never been really necessary. The included cal weight is kind of nice, though you may or may not want to have higher quality weights just to be sure. However this one is just fine. A+

This will save you money
Extremely accurate. The level feature is awesome. Includes calibration weights and different measuring tools! Perfect for powders... Of all kinds.

Nice little scale.
I like this scale, it's perfect for my needs. I did have to adjust it by 5% that it was shy of showing the correct weight but it was a simple adjustment.

Weighing Trays Are Very Small
Seems like a decent scale, but understand, it is a small scale. The plate to weigh on is only about 1.5”. The weigh boats (the little black weighing trays) can only hold, at max, a few grams. So if you need to weigh stuff a little bigger, you may need a larger scale, but you will definitely need larger weighing trays. No batteries are included, just an fyi, but it does have power cable.

Extremely accurate
One of the best scales I've ever owned in my entire life. I've only had to calibrate at one time since buying it and I use it everyday multiple times a day

Metrology? More like met-troll-ogy....
I got this scale just now - scales are cool! But not THIS scale... oh no. Oh no no no no no dear reader. This scale was not cool at all, once you got into the details of it. Unpacking and turning it on went ok. Seemed level, not wobbly, but extremely light and prone to sliding. Get the 20g reference mass out of the holder in the device - oooh, shiny! Rattles a bit though - that's weird. Let's get the other one. Out. Of. *grunt* The. Packing foam... there! Pop some high quality batteries in and.... time to try it out! (Say, what's this little metal disc in the box? A 1g mass maybe? Nevermind that - bound to make sense later!) First step: Calibrate! Follow the instructions, turn it on, press the right button and wait for the 20mg prompt, put the 20mg weight on. Wait for the next prompt... put the 40 mg weight on. Now try it out! Weigh the test masses first. Ok, that's weird - they're WAYYYY off. RE-CAL-I-BRAAAATE! After a couple tries, take a look at the "test masses"... Interesting! One has a big empty hole in the bottom and the other seems to have a little seal! *Remove all the foam from the box* HMM! A ball bearing! Place ball bearing in mass with weird hole, wedge the little disc on - now it looks more like the other one. RE-CAL-I-BRAAAATE! Now the one mass measures right at 20g, and the other one is.... sadly, about 30 mg shy of a full tare. Added a bit of fluff to make it weigh exactly the same and calibrate again. At this point it's "calibrated"... but who knows which test mass is actually true? Either? Neither? Certainly they already differed before one spontaneously disassembled in transit. Measured some quarters (taring all along the way and holding my breath too).... should be 5.670g +/- 0.040g and indeed, they were, but with a (tared) 3.4g tray they shifted up by +0.005 to +0.008g. If you stacked them and measured again, the total mass was off by -0.008 to -0.017g. To sum it up, the response of the scale was NOT linear and not accurate, the test masses were junk, and I wouldn't trust it for anything that requires the stated 0.001mg precision. Did I expect a lab-grade scale for this price point? No.... but solid test masses that don't have ball bearings falling out of them would have probably helped tighten the calibration of this thing. Might require a bit of work trimming them to the right mass but I mean they've got 0.001mg precision scales all over the place, right? Back it goes.

Works with caveats
Threshold is around 40-70 mg depending on the day, and for some reason even if you tare it with something on it, the threshold is still 40-70mg, and the only way to get a accurate reading from 1-50mg is to put something on it and do not tare it and then subtract the weight of that item from the total weight, I don’t understand it but after working out the kinks it works great, and the weight provided helps you ensure it’s accurate which is super nifty compared to my questionable kitchen scale which seems to mess up recipes sometimes
