Fast, Effective, and Quieter Than Expected
I’ve tried several epilators over the years, and the Braun Silk-épil 7 really stands out. It removes hair quickly and efficiently—most areas were smooth after just a couple of passes, which saved a lot of time compared to other models I’ve used. One of the biggest surprises was the noise level. While epilators aren’t silent, this one is noticeably quieter than most, making the process much more comfortable overall. The pain level was also very manageable, especially with regular use. I also really appreciate the variety of attachments. They’re easy to swap out and make the device versatile for different areas and preferences. The build quality feels solid, and it’s comfortable to hold and maneuver. Overall, this is a high-quality epilator that delivers excellent results with less noise and effort. I’m very happy with it and would absolutely recommend it.

Fuzz free finally
For the menopausal among us, a solid choice. Pinches a bit but easily soothed with moisturizer. Far more efficient and less expensive than regular waxing or threading.

It works pretty well for my number one purpose (hair removal underneath my chin).
I have had this epilator for 3 months now. I've waited until now to do a review because I wanted to give a fair appraisal of this epilator. My #1 reason for getting this is I can't see hairs underneath my chin and it was too difficult to tweeze there. This epilator does a decent job, with a few caveats. First of all, the hair needs to be about 1/16th of an inch long for the unit to grab the hairs. This is explained in the directions. And I don't think the hairs can be super long either or the unit will sometimes break the hair rather than pull it. Be aware that hairs grow in cycles; not all follicles will produce hairs at the same growth rate so for the first month you may think it's not working great because you're seeing too many hairs come in a few days or week later. That is because of the hair growth cycle. The longer you use it, the more effective it will become, IMO. If you use this epilator in different directions it can more effectively catch the hairs. Also. do not press down real hard - that mashes the hair and does not improve the unit's ability to catch the hairs. Also, be aware of any epilator that says it is painless. There seems to be a very loose interpretation of the word epilation ..... which technically means PULLING or tweezing the hair out! Since a true epilator is pulling multiple hairs at once it is going to hurt some! Many so called "epilators" (many of them cheapo) sold on Amazon and elsewhere are actually shavers. I sent a few back! I was impressed that I can use this epilator with a moderate degree of success on my upper lip as well. It's a bit large for that purpose and I didn't intend to use it for my upper lip, but I gave it a try and with a bit of patience and using different angles it does work. I have used it on my underarms as well. Interestingly I found that more painful than my my chin. It took at least 6 weeks of using this epilator once or twice per week until on my underarms until I saw very few hairs anymore. Again, that is due to the hair growth cycle. I am satisfied with the unit. I only use it dry on recently cleansed skin. And I clean the hairs out of the head unit after each use. I would imagine that a smaller one meant specifically for the face might do a better job on the upper lip, but the Braun Face Spa for instance was much more expensive.

Great product!
I bought this to replace the previous version I bought years ago. My go to brand, lasts a long time and gets the job done. This is my second one… pretty sure I’ve had the other one for over 5 years… definitely worth the price and waaaay cheaper than getting legs sugared every few months. TIP: If you’re new to epilating, use the skin guard that is provided until you’re used to sensation, then you can transition to the open guard. Skin guard should be used on armpits due to extra skin. Trim hair using clippers with guard that is provided BEFORE epilating… I use this on arms, legs, armpits and bikini line.

Works well
Works great! Pinches a little at first but totally tolerable. Great alternative to shaving.

Effective but causes ingrown hairs
I won't sugar coat it - this thing hurts. But what else would you expect from a modern day torture device: or a rotating head of tweezers? Same same.. I've used it on all unwanted body hairs, if you catch my drift. General consensus: have a few drinks first. I haven't yet found the secret to not getting ingrown hairs - I think my preference is still waxing (I've been a waxer for many years) but this is a nice thing to use in small doses between waxes for any hairs that grew in faster or were missed. But beware: It also causes "strawberry legs" or "chicken skin" and a few other reviews mentioned that as well so I'm not alone. The red dots can last for days and I don't get that with waxing. All in all, not my first choice.

Braun Top Notch Epilator
I just received my Braun Epilator today. I used it immediately after a full charge. FINALLY, one that works as well or even better than the epilator I used for 13 years before it tinkered out. My legs, arms, and face are silky smooth. I had a frugal moment and purchased a brand called VGR Lady Epilator. Big mistake. It did absolutely nothing. It’s definitely worth spending more for a quality epilator. The Braun is well made, and I'm sure will last for many years to come. As other reviewers have mentioned, if your skin is not accustomed to waxing or eipilating, you will have discomfort, especially with the first use. If you can push through that first time, the discomfort will be much less the second time. Your hair will begin to grow back finer and if you're like me, you will eventually notice less hair growth. I've been epilating for a long time, so I do not experience discomfort at all. It’s so much faster and easier than waxing. And unlike waxing, there's zero mess. I recommend the Braun Epilator without hesitation.

If you’re looking for an easy-to-use product that gets the job done, this one is a winner. It’s the second Epilator I’ve tried it, and I would pick this one again every time without hesitation. So far, I’ve only used it dry, and it works very well in that form. The simplicity and effectiveness make it stand out, especially if you want something reliable without any fuss. Whether you’re new or experienced, this product delivers consistent results and is a solid choice to keep on hand.
