I always fear my fingers getting sliced on the mandolin after I lost the old guard. Works great and dishwasher safe, easy grip and durable.

Bought this for grating onions on a "plate" grater, having become rather tired of grating my hand in the process. It works as advertised; the only drawback is that it doesn't grip much more than a medium-sized onion.

I love prepping food and got myself the best mandolin for when I don’t want to use the food processor. Sometimes I’ll even grab the hand grater depending what kind of clean up I want. A few times my hand would slip and I would get some cuts and cursed the makers for not sending a safety product. I’ve also decided long ago that you can find anything on Amazon. Tada! This little gadget was the answer. Got a good grip, shredded faster & safer! I wore my carrot down to about 1/2 inch.. note: don’t cut off the end before shredding! Use that as part of your waste! Easy to clean too!

This creates microplastics directly into your food if it touches the blade, after a few uses you get the hang of it not touching the blade, but the risk is pretty high to do so. Kept my fingers safe though

I have been coming close to slicing my fingers for years! This little gadget works great.

This product is wonderful. My fingers never felt safer using my mandolin and being able to “grip” the item being sliced is a game changer.

Wouldn't handle an average size tomato or even a small onion. Useless. Sent back.
