Review: Not worth the money - One particular design flaw is causing me to regret this purchase. I have other issues with it and will outline below. My main issue is the rubber seal/O-ring around the blade. This isn't a sealed in part and allows what's being blended to get underneath. The O ring isn't easy to remove to clean the gunk amd smells so foul after just a couple uses. We use for mostly protein shakes. If you have ever left a protien shake container in the car, you know the smell. I now have a special pir of tweezers to remove the ring so I can clean this properly. Other issue, the blending of whole bits of fruit doesn't really work well. I've attempted apple sauce and blending shallots for a salsa. Both ingredients were not frozen, cut up and the appropriate amount of liquid was added. Neither blended without me shaking the container around a bunch of times or removing the fruit/veg and only doing a little at a time. Last issue is the base vibrations make the container unscrew just enough from the blade component to spew liquid onto my back splash and counter. I have to stand with the blender to give it a twist before it finishes that first blend cycle. Sure, it's cute. But it's ultimately nonfunctional. I'm out of my return window so I'll be put it in the trash or donate pile soon.
