This scooters awesome
I got this scooter and it was one of the best things I have ever bought. This scooter comes with many pros and little to no cons. Some pros include, the build quality of the scooter feels really stable and strong. The screen and the app are very easy to use. It says it goes 21 mph and 28 miles range and it actually does go the speed it lists. The scooter also has great range because of its high amp hours. The scooter is very customizable using the app and its very simple to use. It has good suspension and I always off-road using this scooter and it works wonders. The suspension is a bit stiff but the pros make up for it. Anyone any age could use it but I would recommend 8 years and older but its certainly easy to control it. The price of the scooter is very reasonable . Such a bang for your buck!! Everyone is so surprised when I tell them how cheap it was compared to other scooters on the market. I also love how it comes with front and back light built into the scooter so I can easily ride at night. If anyone was thinking to get a scooter I would definitely recommend them to get this one. Overall it is very fun, stable, and functional.

Good scooter for the money, excellent customer service!
This is not the review I had planed to write a few weeks ago. I had an issue with my scooter's brakes in less than 90 days from the date of purchase and it took some back and forth negotiating over a week or two because of the time delays in the Amazon messaging system but Volpam stood behind it and resolved my issue. I had planned to leave a negative review but their customer service was excellent and I have to give them credit for that in a day and age when most companies just want your money. I bought the 500watt motor and this was my second scooter, the first being a 350 watt. I definitely would tell a new buyer to start smaller as it was a great opportunity to learn to ride and gain a good comfort level. The first time I got on this one and gave it some power, it toook off with force that the 350 didn't have and I was happy to know how to respond. First and foremost, however, is you NEED a helmet. I was hit on my first scooter as we were both coming to a stop sign and going about 5 miles per hour. I sustained a pretty nasty head injury in the fall and it could have been avoided by wearing a helmet. As a 50-something year old guy you would think I would know better but I still thought I was invincible and didn't need one. Now I won't leave home without it. And simply put, travelling 22 mph on asphalt without a helmet is just plain a bad idea. I chose one that has a rechargable rear light that flashes in several modes but Amazon has some really cool ones that had LED displays, turn signals, blue tooth, and even ones that have crash detection and can call for help and give your coordinates. The 500 watt scooter has good power, excellent battery life, feels sturdy, and is a good value for the price. I recently moved to an area with a lot of hills and it even handles those pretty well although it does slow down to about 11 MPH on some of the steepest ones. I'm 5'11, 200# and it is capable of easily acheiving 22mph on flat terrain. The last thing I would add is check the laws in your state. Here in CA you can't ride on the sidewalk and if I read it right, you are supposed to stay below 6mph around pedestrians. There are several other laws in the cal vehicle code relating to scooters and you can actually be ticketed for speeding on them if you violate the CVC. Happy riding!

BE CAREFUL: Poor brake on the new model
The older model had a rear disc brake. The newer (bigger) one has a drum front brake. It reaches 22 mph, but takes forever to stop. Do not drive fast, it will not stop in the time you think it should.

Comfortable scooter
The acceleration of the scooter is smooth and responsive, making it easy to control the ride through the streets. It reaches top speed quickly and maintains it steadily without feeling unstable. The suspension and wheels absorb bumps well to make the rides smooth The scooter itself feels very solid. Acceleration is smooth, not jerky, so it was easy to get used to

Fast and solid construction but poor battery life and weak brakes
The bad: 1) You'll only get 12 miles if you drive in S mode 2) You'll mostly only want to drive in S mode because the other modes go really (<11mph) slow 3) The brake is as relatively ineffective as one of the other reviews mentions The good: 4) It really can and does get to 22mph 5) The scooter is good solid construction and does not feel like it will bend and break as you ride 6) It is cheap for what it does.

FUNTABULOUS SCOOTER
This scooter is more than we expected. The bumble bee look is raw. It's very quiet and gives a smooth ride. The suspension works great. It gets up to 30mph but 33-35 down hill, back break light blinks when you press the break, it has a wide deck, the headlight is pretty bright & it doesn't take very long to charge. My husband and I use it for (15 miles a day) short distance rides. It took about 3 days to run the battery down. However, when the battery got to 1 red flashing bar it still got up to 30 miles an hour & it never actually died. When we unboxed the scooter and plugged it in to charge; the battery was already fully charged. That was FUNTABULOUS! I'm 5'1 an my husband is 6'2 and the scooter as far as the height of the bars is for adults. It's very sturdy. For our 1st scooter ever we agree this was a great investment. I'm giving 4 stars only because we haven't had a chance to test out the features when connected to your cell phone. We look forward to it though.

The specs are less for a 220 pound human.
The scooter is well made with thick metal compared to other scooters. I am 220 pounds and the hills in my neighborhood are super steep. It doesn't make it to the top of the hills. So i have to walk it to the top every time. i had to buy a scooter that has 2 motors. My girlfriend that weighs 120 pounds makes it to the top of the hills super fast. So this is her scooter now. The app connects quick and easy. Me being 220 pounds this has around an 8 mile round trip battery life. So ive walked it home a time or two. My girl friend hasnt depleted the battery yet on it so maybe the advertised miles maybe true for smaller humans.
