A chiro student here. Have not used Activators of any types (Type 2 or Type 4) before, so this is my first tool. Once I got it, I used it on someone I know and it worked well! This works similarly to an activator type 2 where the tool just has to be placed at the spot that you desire. Pros: -The box is small, covered in foam when it arrived. Simple manual and instructions are included inside. -This is a great tool if you decide to save some money instead of buying the 'branded' version. (Type 2 and 4) -Lightweight -Small, easy to carry around. -Great quality, great materials. -12 month warranty. -Force is adequate and strong (at least for me, have not used activator type 2 or type 4 yet). -Adjustment is gentle (as long as the setting is right depending on which body part you are planning to aim). -Precise as it should be. Cons: -Sound of the recoil can be quite loud at times (you'll get used eventually), it is quite loud if it's near my ears. -Recoil can be quite strong on the palm area if a higher setting is used (lower settings have lesser recoil as less force is needed), can lead to pain if you have thinner and smaller hands like me after using the medium setting for a while. -The fingers and the palm rest can be a bit far from one another (I have smaller hands) so the recoil can be felt on the palm area (remember to take breaks). - No carrying case included, sold separately (just a nitpick from me). If the cons doesn't bother you too much, this is a really great tool. I have thinner and smaller hands so the experience varies. Conclusion: This tool is worth the price that you're paying for unless you have used activators of any sort before as your experience might vary if you have used those before. This tool is a great entry point for students/chiropractors/other people if they have not used activators before. At least for now, I won't be able to use it as a primary tool as the recoil strains my hand and there are techniques for me to use. It might change as time goes on. I will recommend this tool to people who use it as their secondary adjusting tool and to people who are really on a budget.

my chiropractor began to use this on my neck because i could no longer take the sudden jerks (sorry, few technical terms here) she used to deliver to it. she taught me how to use it, and how not to abuse it (don't use it every day!). i can honestly say that it has helped. a couple of vertebra in my neck are out of straight alignment, and can, at times, pop out more. if i use this when the condition worsens, a couple of shots, every other day; and, if i am mindful of my posture and do my gentle stretching, the pain and discomfort clears right up. i'm feeling my neck as i write this. 4 months ago, i was having a lot of pain and could feel the vertebra jutting out. i used the adjuster until i didn't feel the need to (you know when you need it, and it gives both a shot of temporary relief, and more long-lasting results). i'm noticing right now how much straighter the neck portion of my spine is, and how much more flexibility and mobility i have. BUT, do have someone show you how to use it. it's a serious tool, not a gimmick or toy.
