I also checked for loose threads at the border but found none.Rinsed immediately and ready to put it to use.Item is soft to the touch but not 'drape' soft, has a bit of 'substance' to it, which fits me well.UPDATE ON THIS PARAGRAPH - I DECIDED TO FLUFF BLANKET UP IN TUMBLE DRYER. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR (STARTING WITH DRY THROW), ITEM FLUFFED UP THICK, SOFT AND CARESSING! NOW THAT’S A GEM, A BEAUTIFUL DARK GREY!No pilling or discoloration after first wash in 20 degree (C).Very satisfactory.Yes, highly recommend and shall not hesitate to buy again!
