I bought two of these swords, this one and a black one. The scabbard is nice, but I had a small issue with the gold wrap in the middle of the handle unraveling almost immediately out of the box. Nothing some hot glue wouldn't fix. Seem to be pretty well made, and probably could take a decent beating. But they are foam, and are light and flexible, but nothing bad.

Honestly, bought it for my 9 year old after he saved his money to buy a different one at a store. When he finally saved up, the store didn’t have it anymore. I bought this and wasn’t expecting much, it’s actually very impressive as a cosplay sword. I wouldn’t go bashing things with it, but it REALLY looks the part and feels nice in the hand. WAY WAY better than anything I’ve seen in the costume departments

I suppose you get what you pay for here. The color doesn't quite match the picture, its more pink and lighter in person. The blade appears to be durable, but is very flexible so it bends under its own weight easily. If you want something for cosplay, I'm sure this is fine, but I wouldn't use this for LARP or training.

Loved it, my grandson loved it too. Very children friendly.

This is quite an impressive katana. The red and gold color scheme and the iron-looking tsuba make for a beautiful item. Plus, the grip having an actual fabric wrap, as opposed to just a molded handle like my other foam swords, is a huge plus! The only real con is the blade, which is too flexible. It's practically whippy. More rigidity would be welcome.
