Great value. Works as advertised. ChatGPT recommended this unit and it delivers!
So far so good. The water tastes great. We are using potassium chloride with no issues so far. It has been about a month. I've never installed one of these and had zero issues installing it. You will need to order a drain line and the connection lines as well as some silicone for the seals, but if you follow the instructions you will be ok. I called for a couple questions and customer service got back to me right away. Saved thousands of dollars by doing a diy install. And even if you pay a plumber $500 bucks to hook it up, you will still save thousands.

So far it's been great!
Easy to install and has been working great for over a year. Brine container is thin and seems a bit cheap but does the job so can't really complain. This system is efficient on salt use. Uses about 1/3 of another older system I have in a similar home.Biggest issue is the interface is clunky and takes time learning how to navigate.

Great company that supplies complete systems and has amazing tech support
This company is fantastic. Decided to upgrade my older less efficient Fleck system from 2000s in 2023. If you are a DIY this company has everything packaged perfectly. Super clear install instructions.Follow up: I ended up seeing some leaking during regen in 2025 and called them up and their tech support steered me directly to the issue and I was able to fix this easily over the phone within a few minutes. Issue was I was to gentle with the plastic threads on the outlet during initial installation. I really appreciate a tech support that just gets you to the solution without a lot of drama. Since I don't work on water softeners except every 20 years it was a relief to have someone just get to it and help me out.

Very satisfied with the 5600 SXT 64K
This replaced the old style manual 5600 so was pretty easy to plumb in. Came pre-loaded with 10% resin. I upgraded the cheap, 1/2" plastic drain hose barb to brass 5/8" as I have a fairly long run to the discharge site. I used two 3/4" braided stainless water heater hoses for connection. Ensure the bends aren't too sharp or they'll start to flatten out and may partially restrict water flow. If that happens you will definitely notice it when running water inside your home. That said, I haven't noticed any pressure difference. Was in the shower last night and had my wife flush the toilet, I still didn't notice any fluctuation. It's fairly easy to program, but I highly recommend you read the manual a time or two first. You will need to know the hardness of your water before programming. Use quality test strips, or get a digital total dissolved solids meter like I have on my RO filters. I used both and went with the average. Alternatively, you can always send a water sample to a lab for testing.Once operational, it took a couple of days to feel the full effect of the softened water. Last I checked, it's producing water with 20 ppm TDS (according to the test strip). In the past I've used salt pellets. I've read that they can possibly cause issues with gumming things up. This time I went with crystal salt. Time will tell. The softener has been online for only one week and I still have 2000 gallons to go before the next regeneration which I have set at 12:00 midnight. This will be its first auto regen. At this rate, it appears it will need to regen once every three weeks or so. But then, it's just me and my wife using it.I can already feel a difference in my skin, it's not nearly as dry and itchy feeling. I really like this softener. I believe the price is very good compared to some of the others out there and would definitely buy it again. I highly recommend it. Hope this helps.

Watch installation video, make sure to know if your line is 1 inch or 3/4 inch
Well built quality softener. I installed it myself. I do have some plumbing skills, and install the system with shut off valves to by pass the softener completely if needed to. If you do not have plumbing skills or not comfortable you should consult a plumber. I thought my Pex A line was 1inch, but it turns out to be 3/4 inch. Called Aplus and they sent out the 3/4 inch yolk same day and I received the item in 2 days. Customer service is great. Just follow instructions and watch the installation video a few times before attempting to install. Buy the water heater stainless steel flex pipes. It’ll make your life easy.

Do not buy - broke in less than 2 years
I purchased this unit on August 19, 2019 for $631 plus the cost of a plumber to install the unit. It took a few weeks for shipping and installation so it has been in use less than 2 years.A few days ago we saw water on the ground by the unit and found that the back of the tank had a crack that was causing a leak . We called and were told that it would cost $418.59 for replacement parts. ($88.50 for a new tank, $245.00 for new resin, $85.00 for shipping) We were told that IF the manufacturer agreed that the tank was faulty we would be reimbursed the $85 for the tank. I also need to pay to have the plumber install the new parts. I purchased the product because it had a 10 year warranty.I believe the best way to determine if you are dealing with a quality product is how you are treated when there is a problem with the product. After using the unit less than 2 years I am going to have to pay more than the original price of the unit when I add in the cost for the plumber to install the new parts to fix the DEFECTIVE tank. I didn't do anything to cause the tank to crack. I am escalating my issue and will follow up with with the companies response.
