Works great; be sure to adhere by all recommended safety protocols
Initially, I had planned to buy a different Ozone Generator recommended by another YouTuber with more views. But then I saw YouTuber Chuck Morgan use this one on his truck and ask, of all people, his mother-in-law whether it worked. I agree with Chuck Morgan's mother-in-law: this machine works great! I could not smell any trace of cigarette smoke after performing the following steps (with safety in mind): 1. Changed the cabin air filter in my Toyota Prius 2. Used a treatment of Ozium recommended to me by a guy at Auto-zone who smokes (so I figured he'd have some personal experience with the topic of tobacco odor removal). 3. For this treatment, I released the can of Ozium and had it running in my car with the air conditioner on circulate and all windows closed. Prior to this step, just like Chuck Morgan says, I flipped up all my floor mats so every surface inside got some of the odor elimination. ***NOTICE***: Put some latex/plastic (if you have allergies to latex) gloves on prior to using Ozium. I accidentally released some on my finger and had to wash the skin for 15 minutes straight. 4. I left the Ozium circulating through my car for 30 minutes. 5. I then put on a surgical mask & goggles and aired out my car for several hours with my windows cracked (I would have opened more but didn't want the cats to get inside). 6. Now comes the Ozone Generator: 2 days after the Ozium treatment, I set the timer knob onto about 35 minutes (before connecting it to a power source! Please adhere to all safety protocols with this device. Somebody on Reddit (or somewhere) said they had a friend who died from sleeping in a house with two of these running while he was in the house. Don't get near this thing while it's running!) 7. All windows on my car were closed, except the front passenger's side one cracked just enough for the Airthereal's AC adapter to come through the crack in the window. 8. Once again, I started up my car, set my air conditioner on high fan, 60 degrees, and circulate, and left it in Park. (Be very certain you have left your car in park. Turn on the emergency brake, just in case, (and then remember to turn the emergency brake off before you drive anywhere, of course). 9. I then held my breath, got out of the car, and connected an unplugged extension cord to the AC adapter of the Airthereal. 10. Lastly, I ran into the house and plugged the extension cord into an outlet in the house. The Ozone generator then ran for 30 minutes. I was away from the car during this time. 11. Once the Airthereal Ozone Generator finished running and had just sat there for about 15 more minutes, I put on a surgical mask and some mechanic's goggles. I held my breath, opened my driver's side door, and opened up my windows. Like Chuck Morgan, I then kept the air conditioner on, but without circulate so that it was drawing in fresh air from the outside. I also connected a fan to the extension cord, instead of the ozone generator, and left that running in my car for about 90 minutes (it was getting dark and my setup was outside. Otherwise, I might have tried to draw in clean air for longer.) 12. Chuck Morgan's mother-in-law described my situation correctly, as well: your car ought to smell like plastic now. So 2 days after this process, I got a cloth with some dish soap & wiped down the plastic surfaces inside my car. I then rinsed it off. No smell! I then did a fairly similar process to disinfect a used laptop the following week. This device is worth every penny! It brings new life into old things. Get one today (and respect all safety protocols. Safety is everyone's job!)

Commercial Grade Professional Performance
After learning that Amazon’s supply of high output ozone generators “Made in the USA” were all sold out, I reluctantly settled on this imported model as an alternative solution to meet my immediate needs. What luck! This brand/model turned out to be a truly awesome ozone generator and has proven to me that is a reliable authentic commercial grade unit. I’ve used many different ozone generators over the years for a variety of needs including the control of infectious disease. The Airthereal MA10K-PRO has exceeded all of my operational expectations forbits performance. It has actually been more reliable and outperformed several of my domestically produced ozone generators. For anyone like me that is justifiably suspicious of the overall quality and durability of an ozone generator made in China, rest assured that this unit is so well made that most professional users could be convinced that it was made in Germany or the USA. The only fault I find with this ozone generator is that it came with the typical Chinese made lower quality and inflexible power cord. Since the provided cord is the same type used for many common electronic devices, I was able to immediately replace it with an high quality industrial grade flexible cord. A commercial grade appliance, such as this, should come with a commercial grade power cord. No matter, problem solved! It is worth noting for prospective buyers that even though the side of the unit has a sticker stating that there are “No user servicible parts inside”, this statement isn’t necessarily true. As it turns out, the Airthereal MA10K-PRO allows for simple replacement of the installed ceramic ozone plate by competent do-it-yourself owners when a new plate is needed. The manufacturer provides clear detailed instructions for how to take 5 minutes to easily replace the ozone plate when the time comes. It’s also worth mentioning that the plastic cover ober the air filter seems like it’ll be easy to crack over time but so far so good. As for previous reviewers commenting about unexpectedly breathing in ozone or noticing a strong unpleasant odour post-treatment, those reviewers may not understand the operation of these devices. In defense of this Airthereal MA10K-PRO, the ozone it sends out into the air reacts with organic materials and other substances much like a household bleach would. If an area to be treated has an abundance of organics present, the organic material interacts with the concentrated ozone resulting in byproducts that we detect as having an unpleasant odour. The greater the interaction between ozone and organic material, the stronger the odour becomes. As for excess residual ozone irritating someone’s lungs, when a high output ozone generator, such as this model, is being used to treat a relatively small area and is then allowed to run for too much time, residual ozone levels will become higher than necessary and will take a greater period of time to return to acceptable healthy levels after the ozone generator stops running. For the folks complaining about post-treatment odours or lung irritation, from the ozone, first acknowledge that ozone generaors are not a toy and can pose a serious risk to the respiratory health of living beings. Also, think of ozone generation as if you are putting a form of bleach aerosol into the air. Just like the proper use of ordinary bleach, use ozone generators sparingly, produce no more ozone than necessary. Start with short ozone generator run times. Repeat as needed or increase ozone generator run times as you gain essential experience. For some, an ozone generator with a significantly lower output ozone concentration might be better suited to their needs. In summary, this is a fantastic ozone generator at a great value. It has powerful capabilities and must be carefully used according to manufacturer’s instructions with due consideration for everyone’s respiratory health. I highly recommend the Airthereal MAX10K-PRO for anyone that has a need for an effective and reliable high output ozone generator. This unit will definetly outperform many domestically produced models.

REALLY WORKS! Kills odors, mould, bacteria
I've had five or six ozone machines over fifteen years. This one provides consistently the best performance. It can be run continuously--NOT recommended, by the way, except for extreme circumstances. But it stands up to abuse. It runs without complaint day after day. I have not yet replaced the ozone generator plate, it seems to be working fine. Ozone is like bleach gas. It's a very effective oxidizer, so it attacks odor-causing chemicals and the fungus/mold/bacteria that make the smells. FOR HOUSES/ROOMS: In our "barndominium", about 1700 square feet, I run it for 90 minutes when I leave. A week later when I come back, there's no funky smell or lingering mouldiness. Just fresh smell, almost like a thunderstorm just passed. FOR CARS: I let it run in a closed car, with the AC on max. The AC dries and circulates the air, and the ozone kills all those "interesting" car smells. It lasts for weeks or months sometimes. WARNINGS: 1) do not occupy the same space, and if you've just done it, air out the room/house/car before staying inside. The ozone numbs your sense of smell very quickly so it seems like it's gone, but it's damaging your lungs. It's very damaging to lungs. 2) ozone can damage some organic material; for instance, the rubber surrounding your window and door seals in your car. So I don't use it more than 3-4 times per year. I've never had trouble but I've read it can degrade soft rubber and foam. At the bardominium it's never damaged anything even though I've run it for hours at a time. OVERALL: Great product, and you can't beat de-odorizing with ozone!

TERRIFYING & TRICKY BUT EFFECTIVE
So, my family got slammed with the double-barrel fly season and we circulated first influenza B followed by influenza A H1N1 (swine flu) less than a month later. I just felt like we smelled of sick & wanted to purge the air so I thought we’d give this thing a go. I moved all of the sick kids into one bedroom & we rolled up a towel to seal off the bedroom we were ozone bombing. Wow, this thing is so scary to use because OZONE IS SO VERY DANGEROUS TO INHALE...AVOID BREATHING AT ALL COSTS TO AVOID POTENTIALLY PERMANENT LUNG DAMAGE! So, the super tricky part is when the machine is finished. You have to open the door and run around opening windows while trying not to breathe. Just this small quick act caused the weird-fresh smell of ozone to waft down the hall and if you smell that ozone smell you also instantly feel tickled and irritated in your throat. Smells super fresh like linens off the line on a windy day but not safe to inhale. Not a good thing to inhale though, terrifying. It also took the rest of the day instead of merely an hour to clear out of the room with the windows fully open and fan going. We could have gotten away with like 15 mins on the timer and I’m thinking if I dare do this again, I will just start with the windows open so we can truly avoid the insanity of trying to open all the windows without exposing ourselves to the danger. We may lose some of the efficacy but I doubt it. It took all day for the smell to clear to a safe-breathing level so I’m thinking it would still be just as effective if some spilled to the outside air? Maybe not environmentally friendly? Tricky machine.

Generates lots of ozone! May need much more time to air out afterwards. Kills odors.
As this has a mechanical timer similar to those found on 1980s motel bathroom heatlamps, I connected through a wifi switch so I can remotely ensure its really turned off. For first test, I put it on ground floor of 1500 sq ft townhouse, opened the laundry/closets, and ran for 30 minutes using both its timer and the wifi switch. I watched it first turn on to make sure it seemed to function correctly. There is a distinct sizzling noise with a dim blue-purple glow which is normally a really bad thing for an electric appliance. However this is a corona discharge machine which basically means it generates ozone with a controlled electric arc. Didn't smell any smoke and noticed ozone immediately so left. Waited outside for the 30 minutes to be able to notice any usual sounds or smoke alarms (none). After 30 minutes checked status to ensure no fires before leaving for 3 more hours. The attached garage had no ozone smell (good, the smell doesn't seem to leave my unit), cracked door an inch and smelled lots of ozone, so shut door and left. Neighbor didn't smell anything in her unit either (I had told her what I was doing day before). 3 hours later, there was still no smell in the garage, the ground floor (where machine was run) had strong ozone smell, middle floor had weak ozone smell, and upper floor had no ozone smell. Did not further air out as I was not using the affected rooms. Next day the ozone smell was gone, the musty smell in the ground floor closets was gone. Next I used both mechanical timer and wifi switch to bomb whole house with all closet doors open and hvac fan running. It was left alone for 8 total hours (90 minutes running, 6.5 hours off). The whole house had the ozone/chlorine bleach smell so aired out with 2 box fans for an hour. After shutting off there was faint ozone smell. The garage still had no smell. Next day ozone smell gone, no musty smell anywhere (bathrooms, closets on ground floor). Lastly bombed the garage and car (with car windows open) for 30 minutes. No smell anywhere in house. 10 hours later faint smell in garage car, drove the car. Greatly reduced (but did not eliminate) the musty smell in the car. Put it away for 15 days, no musty smells noticed except car which stayed at reduced level so seems successful. In summary: seems to need a lot more air-out time (and/or forced ventilation). If tight construction (source of musty odors!) doesn't seem to spread ozone to attached neighbors units (nor to/from attached garage). Thus I'd strongly recommend having a box fan or 12-24 hours to avoid inhaling ozone. However its very effective at destroying odors.

This is an AMAZING deal!
I have had ozone generators most of my life, starting with the original: Alpine Living Air back in the early 90s. My original was passed down to me from my grandmother who used it 24/7. After constant use for 20 years it finally broke and was replaced by the newer single plate version with fancy space shuttle air filters... for $500... At the time of writing this, the Airthereal is $130. Its got a single plate, which I thought would be its downside, but the new design of these plates is great! The fan is suitable for dispersing the ozone throughout the room or space it is used. I like the timer function and interval function, as its not 100% settled science on the dangers of using this while in the room... better safe than sorry though. The case is very sturdy and well built. The anodizing is a bit thin, but that can be overlooked. The cord is heavy duty, and the handle is as well. Internally, it is very very simple, clean, and well put together. I would suggest cutting a pre-filter to keep the dust down inside, but over time that is unavoidable. Digital display and buttons are well made and easy to use. The auto timer function on power up is a nice feature to allow you not to get a lung full of ozone in an enclosed space while setting it up to run. In conclusion, this is a great unit and works very well. It is affordable, and well made. This WILL get rid of odors, mold, little bugs, and it will make dust fall down instead of floating around.

Gets any and all odors out! Handles tough jobs.
While we didn’t get to use this much it took all odor away. We run/ran a cat rescue in our home. This little machine stripped odors completely out. We also used it when our daughter went through a mental health crisis and we had to deep clean her apartment. I don’t even want to tell you how bad the odors were there. Great quality product as the main part it self survived being right next to where our home started on fire. We are going to get a new one when we are back on our feet. Thank for make a quality product.
