Zoo Med (2 Pack) Large Sun-Dried Red Shrimp 10oz Each

First off, the size of this jar for the price is just awesome! I paid almost $7 for a tiny jar of these when I first got my two musk turtles. So when I came across this product, I was a bit skeptical. But I'm so glad I took a chance! My shipment was delayed but I'm not going to penalize the company for that. It happens. As soon as I got the shrimp, I opened them. The jar was sealed under the lid so I know they were new. The shrimp were moist and fresh. They are all decent sized without a bunch of small pieces like some others we've tried. I'm not sure why some are an orangish/brown/red and others are sort of white but my turtles didn't seem to notice or mind. They both devoured the shrimp as soon as I dropped them in the tank. I HIGHLY recommend this product!!! It will take my turtles a long time to get through this big container, but I'll definitely purchase more in the future.

Good price and good quantity of Red Shrimp. These are the best price for the larger shrimp that I've found. They are way cheaper than buying at the local fish store. I have Amazon Prime, so my orders have Free 2-day shipping which is a huge plus. The shrimp are dried, but they are not hard dry like other brands. The shrimp have a mild softer feel. They are not moist or wet, but they feel softer almost like they have some moisture to them. They may taste better for your fish or tank pets. I feed them to my cichlids, and they love them. I use to buy these in a can from other brands, but I did a comparison on the volume/weight of the contents and noticed I was paying way too much for the shrimp. When I found these and bought them and used them, I realized these are the best price for the volume, and the quality for the shrimp seem a lot better. With the shrimp seemingly feeling softer, I feel my fish have an easier time with eating them. I'm sure it is the same with other tank pets that eat dried shrimp like this.

I feed these to my isopods, they love them. Hopefully they will keep my clean-up crew from eating my plants. They are dry and brittle so I expect there to be crumbs and broken pieces (which I can see at the bottom of the container) but most of them are whole or large pieces so I'm happy with these and will definitely buy more.Other reviews mention how they stink, of course they're going to stink lol they're shrimp! I can't believe they complain about it. I notice a slight smell, but its not that bad unless I put it right up to my nose and I don't need to do that when I'm feeding.

Arrived WAY ahead of schedule, nice. Stinks to high heaven whenever you open it up, but hey, it's shrimp. Will use it for protein for my blue death-feigning beetles and store the container in the freezer to keep them fresh and lasting longer, shelf-life wise.

As anyone would expect these dried shrimp have a pretty strong odar our cats come running in when we open the bottle but we have to let them know it's not for them our turtles on the other hand looooove these things I mean they tear them up for the price it's well worth it and my babies love em it's a perfect protein source for them
