It is a great way to brew your favorite coffee while traveling, camping, or backpacking. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good traveling coffee.

A few years ago I bought a MyJo manual k-cup coffee maker for traveling with a friend who doesn't drink caffeinated coffee (https://www.amazon.com/Presto-02835-Single-Coffee-Maker/dp/B00HIXSAXQ/). That worked out well. I made hot water in the coffee maker and then she could make her tea or decaf coffee as well as instant grits/oatmeal/whatever.Earlier this year I was going to the Dominican Republic and was looking for something a little less bulky in the suitcase than the MyJo. I found the Twin Peaks pour over pouches as well as the Copper Cow pour overs. This was really handy when I wanted a single cup of coffee later in the day when the small hotel I was at didn't have coffee in the salon. At $6 per box of 10 pouches, this is a better deal than any of the other single serve pour over pouches I've seen and they don't produce the plastic waste that a k-cup does. I only wish they had boxes that contained more than 10 pouches.I found the coffee as tasty as the coffee I normally buy (Costco's Kirkland's Best Colombian Roast) and it is also good to have around the house if I want a cup of coffee later in the day so I don't have to fire up the regular coffee maker. After reading several "bad" reviews I have some hints for using this:1) Patience is a virtue with this.2) Pour the hot water into the pouch slowly. When the water gets to the top of the pouch, stop pouring and let it drain.3) Test fit the pouch to your cup before opening it. If it does not fit well on the top of the cup you can adjust the cardboard wings to get a good fit, or find a smaller diameter cup.4) Pour the hot water slowly, let the pouch have time to drain, repeat until cup is full.5) If you want mucho strong coffee, use less water. If you want weak watered down coffee, use more water.6) Patience is a virtue. Your efforts will be rewarded with tasty coffee.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect travel coffee

If you have access to a standard size mug and a tea kettle this system works really well for making a single cup of coffee. I've now used the packets 3 days in a row while visiting relatives who have a fancy coffee maker that I have no idea how to use. Fortunately, I read the other reviews first, so got some good ideas about what to do vs. not do. First, choose a mug that's got a fairly regular size diameter. I didn't have any trouble sitting the brew pouch securely in place but I can see it wouldn't work if you tried it on a really large mug. Second, GENTLY open the top of the pouch, by first slowly tearing along the dotted line at the top, and then gently separating the top to open it. This is easy to do, but there's loose ground coffee in the pouch, so if you rip it open carelessly it would likely cause the coffee to spill. Then, after you secure the pouch to the top of the mug, SLOWLY pour the hot water into the pouch. I have been careful to fill it most of the way up, about 3 times, to get to about 8-10 ounces. There's no way to do it one pour - you'd just overflow the pouch. Also, I can't see how you'd do this easily without a kettle - trying to pour the water into the pouch from a sauce pan would be pretty tricky without spilling all over. Then, just gather up the paper flaps of the pouch and throw it away. Very neat and easy to use.
