A gem of a machine!
A gem of a machine! I rarely write reviews but this machine deserves one. We were looking at so many bean to cup set ups, but realised the ones we picked were going to be way out of our budget. Then I found this one and at under £300 we thought we’d give it a go- if it was rubbish we could always return it. So glad we did! It looks great quality and everyone comments on it. It’s the perfect size as you can see from the picture. But the best and most essential thing is that it makes fantastic coffee. Read the instructions well, buy good quality beans, experiment a few times, and you’re good to go. The milk frother is perfect and it also delivers hot water (for those who can’t handle full on espresso). It’s easy to clean, easy to fill the bean and water hoppers, and easy to use in general. For the money, we don’t think you can get a better machine!

Great espresso maker
We wanted a machine that is easy to use but also a gateway into the more technical side of espresso making, and this ticks all the boxes. From left to right you go through the grinding process, espresso pulling, and finally the option of milk frothing - each step is easy to use and intuitive, and the built-in pressure/temperature control takes away the more technical elements that might be a step too far for a beginner like me! Highly recommended machine.

Steam wand doesn’t create enough pressure
The machine is quite attractive and not too big, so it fitted in to the utility room very well. I’ve not used a coffee machine before , so didn’t want to spend a lot in case the process wasn’t for me and having read the quite low amount of reviews, every one was very positive. I read a lot about the coffee making process and watched a lot of YouTube videos before buying. The machine’s instructions were reasonably easy to follow. So, when switching on, it takes about 35 seconds to warm up before you can do anything. The grinder seemed ok, working quite quickly and is adjustable so you can go finer or more coarse to get a good espresso. The tamper was fine and you have to experiment a bit with pushing down straight and at the right pressure. The pressure gauge on the front also tells you if sufficient pressure is being reached when creating the espresso. The only downfall for me is the steam wand. I used the recommended amount of milk out of the fridge in the supplied milk jug. To assist I had bought a separate milk thermometer so I could check when it reached 65 degrees Celsius. After doing the milk expansion for a few seconds to get the air in, I dropped the milk wand under the surface so it could heat the milk and break down the bubbles to create the fine silky texture. By default the steam wand cuts out after 90 seconds, which suggests to me that this is the maximum time needed to heat the milk. However, after the initial 90 seconds the milk was at about 30 degrees. So, I restart the steam wand and at the point when it cut out again after another 90 seconds (3 minutes so far in total) the milk is at about 60degrees. So I switch it on again and it the takes up to another minute to get it to about 67degrees. So that’s consistently above 3 1/2 minutes just to steam the milk and at that point, even though I had preheated the mug and created the espresso on the hottest water setting, the coffee was then not very hot. So, it’s clear that steam was being created, but it seemed to have insufficient pressure as it didn’t create any sort of vortex to move the milk around to break down the bubbles and create good microfoam. Cleaning the steam wand was then an issue as the milk was very burnt on to it and took quite a bit of time to clean and flush it. All the other reviews of the steam wand are very good, so maybe I was just unlucky with mine. Throughout this process, I contacted their customer service for help and they were very responsive and helpful, sending some videos and giving advice (5 star rating for their service). They said that if the machine was getting the milk up to temperature then it was functioning correctly. However, the extensive milk steaming time took the fun out of making the coffee for me, so I have since returned it within the 28 days and they have issued a refund. Despite the length of time taken, it actually created nice tasting coffee (I used very fresh coffee beans) and it’s a bit of a shock going back to instant coffee until I choose another machine! So, it is a good value machine, if you use it occasionally and don’t mind taking more than 5 minutes to make your coffee (or don’t use the steam wand) it’s absolutely fine! If like me you like a latte and make a few cups a day, then it’s a bit of a drag

It’s a good coffee machine, for the price , ~ try it , if you’re not happy you can send it back
Does what it supposed to do , make a great coffee , for the price, the quality is good, could do with a temperature light , but I tested the brewing, and it’s hot , at over 75, degrees, in the cup , Noise levels are average, when making a coffee, with grinding the coffee beans to making a coffee, Steaming milk , is quite straightforward, with the push button function, press once to start steaming, press again to stop, you can then concentrate on steaming the milk , and getting it perfect, ~ my grandson loves steamed hot chocolate, ~ yeah I am very pleased with this machine , hope this helps

Makes great coffee
I am very happy with this coffee maker. My previous machine was a branded make and I’d say that this makes better coffee albeit it takes a little longer but it is worth it. The temperature of the coffee is perfect with this machine whereas with my last coffee maker l often had to stick it in the microwave which l felt impaired the taste of the coffee.
