Banjo 200A Polypropylene Cam & Groove Fitting, 2" Male Adapter x NPT Female

I live in an area where the aquifer is over 3,000 ft. below due to the geology. To drill a will would require that I first win the lottery. So, like everyone else in my area, I haul 550 gallons of water on my water trailer then, using a gasoline powered 2" pump, I pump it from the trailer into my 2,650 gallon cistern that serves my home. Originally, the pump and hoses had screw-on fittings with a special tool required to tighten the fittings. After many bruised knuckles, I decided I needed something more convenient without tools that slip when tightening. Cam and groove fittings was the solution. I refitted my pump, hoses, and cistern with cam and groove fittings that I purchased from Amazon. It has sure made water transfer faster and much less complicated. These Banjo 200A Polypropylene Cam & Groove Fitting, 2" Male Adapter x NPT Female fittings are well made with tight tolerances (no leaking), and were properly threaded to fit my water pump. I'm happy I made the upgrade from screw on to cam and groove and pleased that I could find everything I needed to make the upgrade on Amazon.

Works great for moving water

We have a large pond in our back yard that hasn't been running for a few years. when I fired the thing up the compression coupling on the two inch pipe coming out of the pump simply couldn't hold the pressure. Try as I might, I couldn't get it to hold. A co-worker, who also has a pond, told me about these fittings. He didn't have any because he hasn't had the problem I have, but it sounded like a perfect solution. Once I saw the price, I ordered a set instantly (coworker thought they were about $100 a set so I was pleasantly surprised) anyway, I hooked up this set, and a month later haven't had a problem. Note, I bought the other end of this coupling as well as the male/female reverse sets of these fittings, so I'm re-posting this review on all of them.

This male camlock (the grooved piece) was purchased to connect to a poly female camlock (cam) on a ready-made discharge hose.The male fit the female camlock perfectly. I was, however, surprised on the amount of pressure required to press the cam levers down on the unit. I had to get a pair of gloves on to make the connection. I think, though, it wasn't the fault of this manufacturer since I was putting the two pieces (the cam and the groove) together from two different manufacturers. I kept the camlock, but would have preferred a easier connector. Perhaps, two metal fittings would join more easily?

Easy connect with ease…highly recommend the product for sturdiness & longevity!!

Nice part for the money, and I like the built in spring locks

I bought these to be able to attach a trash hose to a discharge water pump that I purchased to pump water off property that has standing water. They fit perfectly, I have no complaints. Durability? Well time will tell.

Typical of what I have come to expect from banjo. Well made, cleanly cut threads, and a smooth sealing surface. I have used others, and personally think Banjo is the best. Made in USA
