I used it to add to cereal, so the grind was not an issue. **Q: how is it prepared** A: I don't', I add it to healthy cereal or nonfat, low sugar greek yogurt. Friends let it stand in milk until semi solid then spoon it out. In winter, I add it to my oatmeal. **Q: Are any pesticides used in growing?** A: I dont know for sure but it is not labeled as USDA organic.If it does have that label it is farmed with chemical fertilizer.Bobs has an organic line that is labeled USDA organic **Q: How is oat bran somehow less calorie dense and more protein dense than any other oat bran in existence? It is of the same quality as Quacker Oats. I have been making muffins for my husband to keep his cholesterol down for about 25 years. It works.
