Good range despite going through 20cm think walls with steel in them. Quite stealthy compared to the Panasonic ones i had before. Programming in numbers was easier than expected. Nice large lcd and back litt keypad. Keeps info displayed for much longer than my old Panasonic phones. Sound quality is very good even at 50 meters away. Good eco mode and i can see where people could get fours days of use without being on a base charging. This is a cordless phone set that is good for any one but especially for people hard or seeing or hearing. Good speaker phone. Noise cancellation (side button) also works well particularly for metallic sounds. The CONS: Call announce is a bit tricky to enable. Call screening needs to be on for it to work. Which isn't much of a problem, however the paper booklet and the online instructions are very unclear even for a techie. There are three distinct call monitoring classes , block, allow, and star. Star being important calls like from a hospital or school for example. The ALLOW is all calls go through, and screen matches what you have in your saved phone number directory. Second CON is the directory while nice and simple is a bit slow to scan through. Although there is once feature that is not in the instructions. When scrolling though your phone book there is a left right arrow that isn't on the key and that goes through the numbers about twice as quickly. Third CON is the access to the intercom. which is almost at the bottom on the setup menu. It really should be on one of the keypad buttons. Final CON is that none of the handset bases have wall mounts, no place to put screws or even duct tape to hold on anything other than a desk. -------------------- Oct 5th, 2020 Update: Phones are good. I do have one additional gripe and that is the caller ID announce won't read out the number of an unknown caller At first i tried adding two different numbers to the directory one with a longdistance "1" and the other without the "1" with the persons name. However and unlike Panasonic theses AT&T phones won't read from the directory. Since this is on your end your phone should recognize the number coming in and match it up. Otherwise things like call screening wouldn't work at all. On my panasonic phones when my brother called it would say that it was his cell phone or home phone because that's how i programmed the ID. His cell had no built in ID so the AT&T now reads "unknown caller" instead of reading my directory database entry.

I purchased the AT&T BL102-4 cordless phone set from the Amazon Warehouse (like-new used in original packaging) when our family switched from a traditional landline setup to a VOIP landline with our local cable provider. We previously had been using a cordless system from another brand with our phone company's service and the call quality was never good - often lots of crackle on the line, making callers hard to hear. I wasn't sure if it was the phones, the service, or the cords, so I replaced all of them and started anew. The build quality of this AT&T phone system was a little less substantial than I expected, but the phones do their job and call quality is good. The handsets and the base feel kind of cheap, but this is an under-one hundred dollar phone system so I guess that's to be expected. It works well though, and the features are good. The only feature I miss is Bluetooth. If this system had it I could pair it with my cell phone, but other than that, it's not missing anything. ---------------------------------- ➡️ SETUP & USE: I put the batteries in the phones and charged them as I went to the included user manual to try and figure out how to set it up. The manual is a bit overwhelming, but if you read it carefully and go step by step, you can figure it out. Some features on the phone duplicate those offered by my cable company, so I did need to figure out which ones to set up and which ones to leave off on the phone. For example, my cable provider offers voicemail, and thus using the answering machine feature of this phone system isn't something that I do. Once I set up things like the number of rings before the calls were answered, I started adding numbers into my phone's contacts. Doing this let these callers come right through, and helped with call blocking. I set it up so that callers I didn't recognize would have to press the pound button on their phones to get through. This eliminates robocalls, but real-live telemarketers can still get through. --------------------------------------- ➡️ CALL BLOCKING FEATURE: Call blocking only works if your phone service provider has caller-ID enabled for your account. It works like this... When a call comes through that you have not put on your call block list already, or that your provider has not filtered, you get an audio announcement of the number and associated caller name. You can disable the audio announcement if desired. You can then decide if you want to answer or block the call. If you wish to block it, you press the call block button on the handset which is in the lower right corner. That stops the call from coming through and the ringing stops on the phone. Call blocking has been a life-changing feature for us. The combination of our cable provider phone service and this phone has eliminated 98% of our telemarketing calls and all of the robocalls. We no longer have to unplug our phones to get some sleep, and the calls we do get are nice and clear. ------------------------------------------ The top 3 reasons I purchased this phone system... 1. I got a heck of a deal through the Amazon Warehouse during Prime Day (an additional 20% off the warehouse price), making it under seventy for me. 2. The call blocking feature to eliminate robocalls and telemarketers. 3. The ability to increase the volume easily on the handset, for my hard-of-hearing husband. ----------------------------------------------- This phone system works with both traditional phone service providers and VOIP cable company phone services. It comes with four handsets and has a built-in answering machine along with the call blocking feature that works with the caller ID provided by your phone service provider. The handsets are lightweight, have big numbers that are easy to see along with the LCD display. The caller ID announce feature is a nice addition and most of the time it's easy to understand. 🎯 I think this phone system is a good one for those who want to eliminate robocalls and telemarketing calls from their life. I also think it's a good choice for those who are impaired visually or have hearing loss. ===========================================

We chose this telephone because of a good experience with a previous AT&T phone, but it certainly never worked properly for us! It ends incoming calls after the first or second ring and immediately when the Phone/Flash button is pushed. We had set the number of rings at 5, but it never got anywhere near that number. It does identify the caller's number in the Call Index and usually allows the caller to leave a Voice Mail, but that is not good enough. When I went to the AT&T website for support, it did not list Canadian provinces along with the US states and would not accept a Canadian postal code, which it deemed essential. This suggested to us that it is not attuned to the Canadian telephone system, Or perhaps it was just a dud, but we were not willing to take a chance on a replacement, so returned it.

The phone is lovely but beware of set up problems with a cordless phone. The set up with provider is difficult. Apparently, it has something to do with difference of # rings on phone and provider rings. This seems to be a common problem with cordless phones.
