Works exactly like it’s supposed to. I separated two oranges and put two cups of cold water in a container with 6 drops of the pectinex. Put the container in the fridge overnight and then just rinsed the slices off under the faucet. They came out perfect. No mess at fuss. The only thing to watch out for is that the liquid needs to be kept in the fridge. The label says store at 32-50 degrees for shelf life and enzymes potency. Which makes me wonder if you order this in the summer, will it kill the enzymes because it is too hot?

I used Pectinex for removing the skins around each piece of mandarin. I let it sit overnight, cleaned up the membranes that were floating 24 hrs later and canned the mandarins in a light syrup. I was happy the way it turned out. I went by the instructions that were given by other users.

When you can get this... Buy it. It sells fast! And don't hesitate on the price. It's definitely worth the money. I mainly bought this because Sumo citrus season is very short, plus I love pink grapefruit. I don't like all the work with having to get rid of the membrane because I have issues with digesting it. I had seen a Facebook reel where someone took peeled oranges and soaked them in a a liquid of water and a few drops of something, and they linked to here. Skeptical, I decided that it was worth trying. I am SO GLAD I DID. Two cups of water, 3 or 4 drops put I to the container of peeled citrus. Pictures show what my results were after about 12 hours. Definitely go with overnight, and put it in the coldest part of your fridge, but not anywhere where it may freeze. It needs that to work. And when you are done using it, if you have saved the closing piece of plastic that you had to slide out to get your drops, slide that back in and make sure you put that in the fridge, be aue it needs to be refrigerated. It definitely made light work of my citrus salad. Which I really like during the warmer weather with some cheese for breakfast. I wish I would have known about this sooner!

I feel if you're looking for this, you know what application you're going to use it for. It does what it needs to do in my household - help with clarifying citrus and other liquids for cocktails. Does a bang up job at it too. Remember to keep it in the fridge!
