Outstanding Performance – Skull Shaver Pitbull Gold Pro
The Skull Shaver Pitbull Gold Pro has completely exceeded my expectations. From the very first use, it delivered an incredibly close, smooth shave with no irritation. The ergonomic design fits perfectly in the hand, making it easy to maneuver around the head. The blades are powerful and efficient, cutting through hair quickly without pulling or discomfort. I especially appreciate how fast the shave is—what used to take a long time now only takes a few minutes. The battery life is excellent, and the fact that it’s waterproof makes cleaning and maintenance extremely easy. Overall, the Pitbull Gold Pro is a high-quality, reliable grooming tool that truly delivers professional results at home. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and time-saving shave.

Solid head shaver with a few quirks
Started using this July 31st, just now put it on for its first full charge on September 4th after using it every other day. The good: Powerful motor and blades Easy to clean - especially compared to Freebird brand which I was using previously Comfortable design - works well wet or dry but ideally it works best with some shave cream. The less good: The charge port cover isn't attached in any way once you remove it to charge so the possibility of losing it is high, keep an eye on it It cuts close, but not as close as a regular razor. It works better on an every-other-day or every-three-days basis for me, but your mileage may vary depending on your hair type (mine is pretty fine texture). Overall, a great razor with minor issues, the charge port cover is my biggest concern. The display of charge is great too - even though this was the first charge of it, I still had 12% battery left, just didn't want to risk a half-shave before it died.

Outstanding Head Shaver
This item really blew me a away. It is probably the best I have tried. The close head shaver really did an outstanding job and did a phenomenal job in keep the shave very close. Clean up was a dream and can be done either wet or dry. I highly recommend this product!

Not great, but probably the best option you have
I've been using this line of shavers for about 2 years now. The battery just died on the first one, and I just ordered a replacement so I figured I'd leave a review. First of all - battery issues? Yes. The first two weeks I used my shaver, I thought all the reviews about the poor battery life were either unlucky or outside the norm. Then one day about two weeks in, I started shaving with the battery at 50% and it abruptly died mid-shave. After that I noticed the battery would decrease normally (about 3-5% for each five minute shave), but once it hit around 50 or 60%, the battery would drop 1% every second until it hit zero. I thought this was fine - I have to charge the shaver every week, so what? The problem is, this "battery drop off" point kept creeping higher and higher over the past year and a half until recently, when the battery died as I started shaving at 92%. I had been recharging the shaver after every two shaves already, so I figured this was time to get a new shaver. If the new one follows the same pattern, I'll be reasonably satisfied if the battery gets me through two years. After reading about battery charging and battery life, the plan is to use the shaver until 60%ish battery, then charge up to 90%ish each time - might help, might not. So why buy the same shaver if the first one had such an unreliable battery? I haven't used any other electric head shavers out there, but I had been shaving my head with a safety razor for a few years before I tried the Pitbull. I can't say anything about the other shavers, but my skin is pretty sensitive, so I am hesitant to try new shavers - and the Pitbull is pretty good in this regard. The four bladed (I think it's called the Forte) attachment that comes with the shaver doesn't irritate my skin, and is fairly reliable (I only broke the first one by dropping it multiple times - my bad). I'd say that shaving against the grain with the shaver gets my hair very close to what a safety razor would get (also going against the grain). Obviously it's not quite AS short, but the difference is maybe 6 hours or so of hair growth for me. It's definitely closer than shaving with the grain with a safety razor, and shaving against the grain with a razor can cause irritation for me anyways. So the quality of the shave is fairly good, I only have to shave every 2 days to maintain a clean look. But the best advantage of the Pitbull is TIME. It only takes 5-7min to shave your head, rather than the 20min it would take me with a safety razor. I'd recommend using conditioner on your head when using this shaver, using shave soap and a brush will actually get the blades of the Pitbull coated with soap that doesn't easily come off, and the bristles of the brush will occasionally come off and get sucked into the shaver - which messes with the blades and is annoying to clean. Conditioner is easy to wash off, all you have to do is rinse with hot water, and the shave is smooooooth. TLDR: Buy to save time. Shaves pretty close to safety razor, if not 'baby bottom smooth'. Do a favor and use conditioner instead of all the other shaving products. Yeah, battery kind of sucks.

No better shaver on the market.
Bought this shaver two years ago and have had zero issues. Great for when I travel and don’t have time to “bic” my head. Battery last forever and super easy to clean. One of the best purchases I have ever made. Look no further.

22 years of shaving my head the "old" way and I'll never go back.
Seriously, I'm in love with this razor and it's becoming a problem because I'm already addicted to the *smoothness.* In the words of Frank from "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" "I just want to be puuuuuurrrree." Anyway... Like I said in the headline, I've been shaving my head for 22 years now using "regular" blades and now I feel like an absolute moron because THE SKULLSHAVER HAS BEEN AVAILABLE FOR 10 FREAKING YEARS AND I COULD HAVE BEEN USING IT THE WHOLE TIME. Seriously, I've long been one of those "lazy" head shaving guys. I work for myself so I never HAD to be well groomed and I'd generally "get around" to shaving every 3 or 4 days at the most (and I'd always go through multiple blades when I did because I'm Lebanese and Italian and grow hair at a truly PROFESSIONAL level. Except on my head. From the ears up I'm... Swedish or something.) ANYWAY... As a snooty blade-using multi-decade head shaving person I always had kind of an ATTITUDE about electric shavers not being able to do as good a job as "regular" blades and I was 1,000 types of wrong and want to personally apologize for my idiocy. Since getting the Skull Shaver Pro 4 days ago I've shaved at least 14 times. At least. I can't help it. I shaved about 2 hours ago and right now sitting here as I type this I kind of want to go do it again. I want to feel that vibrating wonder against my skull. I want to lather up with a thin sheen of shaving cream and send the whole damn device careening across the slick surface of my skin like Mario Kart red shell careening towards its target. I want to be smooth. I want to be pure. I will never go back. I will fight you if you try to take it from me. And I'll look DAMN good doing it because my skull and face will be shiny and clean. P.S. It's honestly a smoother and closer shave than I was getting with my Dollar Shave Club blades and I'm sure this thing will pay for itself many times over. Plus I'm not horrifyingly hairy 3 out of every 5 days anymore. P.P.S. While my wife is somewhat concerned about my current several-times-a-day shaving habit she also says that using the Skull Shaver Pro on my face has, for the first time in our 8 year relationship, meant that when we have sex she can just relax and enjoy herself instead of worrying that my sandpaper cheeks are obliterating her skin. P.P.P.S. The only downside so far is that I seem to be losing track of the passage of time. I'm so used to judging the passing of the days by how thick the hair on my face and the sides of my head are getting. But now I'm just SMOOTH and PURE all the time. ALL THE TIME. I stare in the mirror and see a waxen vampire staring back. And yet I like it. I really like it. And you'll like it too.

Amazing, convenient, long lasting
I am making this review after over 1 year of use and with zero negative experiences. This is truly an amazing product. After going bald, I had been trying to go to the barber for head shaves but that got expensive quick. I used a traditional 5-blade razor for a while but I would keep getting irritated skin on the back of my head. I got tired of having to do so much after care on my skin for multiple days after shaving. This product very much changed things for me. I use it in the shower with regular shave gel. You can use it with just water but I think shave gel helps a lot. One full charge lasts me about 10-12 shaves. I shave my head 1-2 times weekly and so that ends up lasting me a few months per charge. I will say it does need to be cleaned so that there isn’t any build up inside the housing but it’s super easy to just pop off the plastic blade cover and wash out the inside. I do still use a 5-blade on my neck because the head shaver is a little too intense for that area on me, but that does not change my opinion on this product. I think it is absolutely fantastic and could not recommend it more!!

quick, easy, comfortable
If you are reading this you know you want to buy a premium shaver, but which one? After watching way too many review videos on similar men's head shavers I found that I liked the aesthetic and attitude of Pitbull more than the other brands, and tried to buy the silver model at a retailer, but found that the only rotary shaver they had in stock was a Remington Balder Pro. I bought it and had the head break on me immediately. I returned it and forced myself to be patient for two days to order a Pitbull online. The gold was more expensive than the silver (duh), but I was hooked in by the look and extra features. The skull shaver is fairly comfortable to hold, discomfort and fatigue have not been big issues for me compared to the Braun foil shaver that I had previously used. It helps that I am able to more easily use either hand for the Skull Shaver-this was difficult to do with the Braun. The shaving process is quick, much shorter than other methods I have used, but does require going over the uneven parts of my skull multiple times to get a consistent shave. This is likely due to the nature of the shaving heads distance from one another and the concave shape of the unit. This shape does not allow for shaving the front of my neck at all (it left me scratched and uncomfortable after trying) and only does an okay job on the back of my neck. I have ended up using a different shaver for the neck areas. I am not fully satisfied with the closeness of the shave, I would like it to be shorter (the Pitbull silver may offer this), but the feel of the shaving process is so much better than other shavers that I will put up with not being able to go more than two days without a shave. The battery life would easily last for a 2 week trip without charging, and I like the battery percentage indicator. The unit is easy to take apart and clean, and replacement heads are much less expensive than shavers of this type, though I will have to see how long the heads last to know if that is a plus. I hope this review helps, I am a little tired and foggy and I refuse to ask Chat GPT to clean up my grammar and add a friendly yet professional tone. Good luck in your hunt for the perfect shaver!
