Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids Food Storage Containers, Racer Red, 40-Piece Set

I have now purchased six sets of the Rubbermaid Easy Find Lid systems. Six might seem excessive, but they have a tendency to disappear, so I don't actually have six sets in my cupboard. Sometimes it is a kid forgetting one at school. Sometimes it is when we take one to a get together and forget to take it home with us. Sometimes it is when my husband brings a bunch home all at once from work leaves them on the work bench and then the dog gets to them and decides they are chew toys. I mean these are so great that the dog even loves them, even if it is just to chew on them. Thankfully he just chews and doesn't eat the plastic (that could be quite the vet bill). Now I could get upset and buy the cheap disposable storage containers, but those seem to be just as expensive as the Rubbermaid containers and they don't stack as nicely or nest, so instead I just replace them when our stock gets low. I don't even get upset about losing a few storage containers now and then because after figuring cost I realized that I spend more per day on allergy medicine for my family than I spend on each piece (lid and container) of Rubbermaid. For the cost these are the best storage containers I can find. They stack easily in the fridge and keep my storage container cupboard organized. Rubbermaid also has a green lid set that is for produce which helps keep your produce fresh, where they can tend to get squishy in other containers. Rubbermaid also makes a glass version of these storage containers as well as a premier which uses a plastic that does not stain, though those versions of the Rubbermaid Easy Find Lid system are more expensive. A few tips for storage containers: If you are storing a red sauce like spaghetti sauce rinse the container with cold water before putting the sauce in it this should keep the container from staining. I can't explain why but it was a trick mom taught me and it seems to work every time and I always regret it when I don't use it because I end up with stained containers. If you are not using a produce container and want to keep hour salads fresh fold a paper towel up and put it at the bottom of the container. This will keep the salad from getting soggy or squishy. You can also put a paper towel around your lettuce and pack it with your sandwich, then when you are ready for your sandwich unwrap the lettuce and add it to your sandwich, no more soggy sandwiches. Other reviewers have included a breakdown of what comes in each set. Unfortunately these configurations change regularly so I have done my best to give an update on what is in each of the sets. There have been some sets that seem to indicate they include a divided container. The only sets that I have been able to verify have a divided container are in the premier line. The sets listed below are only the basic Rubbermaid Easy Find Lid Sets and DO NOT include the premier, glass or produce sets. You only need a few words to describe this product... $20.. and made of really thick plastic. They work great, seal tight, and come in a ton of different sizes. It's true that the 1/2 cup x5 are pretty useless to me... however I have found a few things that I can do with them just to make myself feel better.... thats not to say that the rest of the box is not worth $20 on its own, it totally is. I just like putting all my kitchen gadgets to use, otherwise I feel like they're wasting space, and in my kitchen I have 0 space for junk. I haven't tried microwaving or freezing these yet... I'm 100% positive they will handle the freezer with no problem due to their sheer thickness. On the other hand, I highly doubt that they wont stain from things like tomato sauces, etc when microwaved. A problem I have experienced with ALL sorts of plastic containers to date.

These are great containers!! Very high quality you would expect from Rubbermaid, and you can stack all the lids together and lock them together, or you can lock them to the bottom of each container if you want to keep them matched....your choice. The description lists the sizes and number of each. The smallest ones are like the condiment size. I use them for the kids when they eat nuggets, etc. and they're great for storing little items on your desktop or in your drawers! The next size up I'm going to use for baking ingredient bowls for easier access, like my baking powder, soda, etc. The rest I will use for whatever occasion arises....from leftovers to crafting supplies....my husband even loves these for screws and stuff for out in the garage! Got an excellent bargain here....Just make sure you know that you're getting more small size than large, read the description carefully to make sure this is the right set for you!

I ordered my first set of Rubbermaid easy find lids while using an Amazon.com gift card. I love rubbermaid as a company and have used thier products for years. Since I have found the new easy find lid product line I have fell in love with them. I used to have all sorts of lids of many shapes and sizes along with containers none of which nested near as well as the new easy find lids do. My old supply of rubbermaid and Tupperware took up nearly 3 cabinets and were a pain to locate matching lids to the containers. When I asked my husband what he thought of getting rid of the mixmatch lids/containers he was totally thrilled. Now that I have gotten my first 40 count set I only use less then 1/2 of one of the shelf cabinets, lids and containers together. And all of the lids fit the same size opening so no searching for just the right size lid for the matching containers. My husband is thrilled not to have to search any longer. I am sold and plan to add another 50 cnt set to my collection. I have even told several friends as well as giving a set as a house warming gift. I would recommend these for sure. I am thrilled to see that this product is also BPS free as well. My only consern would be that if not completely dried the lips of the lids MIGHT get mildowed if nested tightly before water has evaperated between them, but as of yet I have not had such a problem since I air dry my dishes. I don't have a dishwasher so I cannot varify how this products works in a dishwasher. Great product! If you are not sold on it you can purchase a single bowl/lid at Walmart and or Targets, note; that they are a much better price in a set though.
