I needed it to hold my quick-grab hair things, so I can quickly clip up my hair or use a scrunchie to put it in a ponytail, but the only way this works for that purpose, is with using only minimum supplies. I need a little more space to experiment with different hair tools/accessories, eventhough I only need the caddy for the quick grab option. Eventually I hope to pare down what I use for a quick ponytail and such, but I'm not there yet and just needed a little more space. I know I can make it work out but I'm tired of having to engineer everything, as if I work for the products and not the other way around. I know that larger sized caddies are available, but their prices are ridiculous for plastic. The actual STORAGE size of this caddy is not 3 inches deep. It only measures 2.75 inches on the inside. **Q: Does this product have holes in the bottom for drainage if used in the shower?** A: I wondered the same thing as the shower caddies that Command sells are ugly. They used to sell nice metal ones, but they are discontinued. I have used the water resistant command strips (either used with command hooks or right on the caddy) on other brands of caddies. It worked. This one is nice, and like someone said, drill holes for water (or even melt some with something hot like an awl.) Don't try to use the clear strips in the shower though, they won't hold. **Q: Has anyone used this on a stainless steel fridge? Results?** A: I haven't used this actual caddy on a fridge, but I have used the Command picture hanging strips, to hang whiteboards on a stainless steel refrigerator, because the magnets which came with the boards were not strong enough to support them. The strips have been on the fridge, holding those boards up, for at least two years, without any issue. So if you really wanted the caddy but the clear strips don't hold it to the fridge, you should be able to get it to stick with their normal adhesive strips, which are the same as the backing on the picture hanging strips.
