Find Your Match Kit | Minimalist Serum (Fair-Light)

I am transitioning my beauty products to non-toxic/organic. I have tried a few products without success. This applies beautifully! I found a perfect shade-match with the sample pack. I went on to purchase the full product and am now considering the lip product after trying the samples (which I overlooked at the time of purchase).This foundation blended out like a dream to a place between matte and satin. It provides medium to full coverage and applied best with a brush or hands. The makeup sponge tends to soak up the product but can be used after applied to refine the blending. It lasted well for the workday and inspired several compliments. It feels so nourishing and smooth on the skin, which is great for mature skin! It doesn't settle into fine lines, which is extremely important. I do moisturize in the morning about 30 minutes prior to applying. It works well by itself, but I did enjoy the extended performance with my primer and finishing spray.The only downside I have seen is the cost of the foundation when purchased in full-size. Ouch! I am reconciling it because a) organic/natural products tend to be more expensive b) this is partly a skin treatment product as well because of the beautiful oils nourishing ingredients, and lastly c) because there are frankly slim-pickings in my opinion in the non-toxic beauty world for medium-full coverage foundations that actually apply well, provide coverage, and last the day.This sample bundle is a great introduction, allowing shade selection, and is also a reasonable price.

Received yesterday and I’m pleasantly surprised. My skin is very pale and all four colors I got look good on me. It’s very liquid so be careful putting it on and you sure don’t need much. It does dry down some but my septuagenarian skin appreciates the moisture.

I like how the makeup feels and stays on. The colors though were too light for my skin making it impossible to figure out what color would work. The serum is too expensive to just guess.

My skin is combination, acne-prone, and sensitive, and this foundation did not work for me. It looked good on areas that were perfect and unblemished, but it made all types of imperfections look worse (active acne, scars, uneven texture, small dry patches). I wore it for a whole day and it looked even worse at the end of the day. I had read reviews saying that you need to exfoliate before applying the foundation, which I did, but it shouldn't be necessary to exfoliate to such a degree every day. I understand that using a sample isn't the same as using the foundation from the bottle (apparently you need to shake the bottle a lot), but I mixed the sample pretty well and it still didn't work. Finding the right color was also a problem. I have very fair skin with pink undertones, and none of the light foundations worked individually. I would have to mix at least two of them to get the right color, and the foundation is too expensive for that to be possible. Too bad, I really wanted to like this product!

It feels ok but made me look like Data from Star Trek. I’m sure it’s good for my skin but just does not look good on me. It would be better for someone with very dry skin...maybe

Literally the best foundation I’ve ever tried.

Love this product. Prefect amount of corrective coverage and a little goes a long way.
