Lovely camera
Still getting used to the camera but so far I have no issues, yes it is a big camera but it is not as heavy as I thought it would be. A sturdy tripod is required when using the zoom at full length.

Where's the battery charger, Nikon?
I have not had a chance to try the camera yet, I'm waiting for the weather to fair up a little! I can't comment, therefore, on it's photographical capabilities. It doesm however seem intuitive to use, especially if you've had a bridge camera before. However, I must deduct one star due to Nikon not providing a battery charger or even a correct USB cable. Very mean Nikon. I have a small Canon which cost about a quarter of the price if this, but that was supplied with the necessary charger. As it is, you'll have to pay about £20 to get one and you'll need it. If you don't want to carry a load of other equipment - and why would you with a camera of the specs this has - you'll need a bag. I found just one on Amazon suitable for this camera alone.

Foreign language instructions
Great camerabbut loaded with Japanese software and has written instructions only in Japanese No option to change this! Dont buy unless you are fluent in Japanese!!

Good camera
A great camera but have found it hard to focus using maximum zoom both in manual and auto focus. I’ve now gotten myself a good stable tripod, so perhaps that will improve. If you are a good to pro photographer, I wouldn’t recommend this camera as there’s not a lot of variables for you to play with, but for an amateur/novice/fair photographer, you will get a lot from this camera as it automates most things for you to play with zooms etc as well as getting good everyday photos with the ability to gradually learning how to do things with out the benefit of auto. Be warned though, it’s big and heavy, but not as big and heavy as a camera and all the separate lenses.

Comes without essential parts so will not work on receipt
It comes without a charger and memory card which is very poor.

Box opened and camera set to Chinese
The camera had been opened and repacked poorly. The menus were all set to Chinese which at the very least the camera had been switched on. The camera seems to work well but if I buy a new camera I expect to get a new camera not one that has been unboxed. I’ll test this for a few days to see if there is anything wrong with it, if there is, it’s being returned. No English instructions, no warranty card included Not a happy customer here…

The nikon p1100 a great camera but you need to learn.
Had this camera a few weeks now having come from DSLR's , the lens is quite stunning and can give some stunning results. Had to learn how to get the best out of the nikon p1100 a tripod and fluid head is a must for shots at 3000 + mm but I have had some great shots but I'm still learning. In all this is a really good camera if your willing to learn .
