Old South Sweet Pickled Watermelon Rind 10 oz Jar (6 Pack)

These are so good. I’ve searched local grocers in vain for years; these cost more, but worth it (I guess, since here I am!) Other brands don’t compare. This tart, slightly sweet, lightly spiced flavor is unparalleled. They’ve got to be well chilled for a firm crunch. Perfect to accompany a rich sauce or meat.

I love the flavor and I usually order a six pack as they disappear fast. They make a surprising addition to olives, pickles etc....... not just for Thanksgiving I wish they were a bit less pricey, but at last it is a good quality product and worth the money.

If you have never tried pickled watermelon rind then you are missing out! It's a great garnish for mixed drinks or snacking right out of the jar!

Pickled watermelon rind can be used instead of pickle relish in a tuna salad. It's a delicious addition to meat or BLT sandwiches.

I have a Sunday lunch party every summer for friends who summer in Maine but are from Virginia. We share great memories of Sunday lunches while eating fried chicken, ham biscuits, fresh green beans cooled to death, potsto salad and watermelon rind pickles. Last year there were 8 guests and we ate 3 bottles of these pickles! Enough said.
