Ant-Man and the Wasp [4 K Ultra-HD + 4k Ultra-HD + Blu-ray] [2018]

Great movie ..delivery on time ..

While "Ant-Man and the Wasp" is a decent follow-up to the original "Ant-Man," it falls short in some areas. Most notably, the main villain left me feeling disappointed. The character lacked depth and failed to match the complexity or intrigue of the antagonist like in the other Marvel movies. That said, the movie still has its positives. The humor is on point, and it delivers several laugh-out-loud moments. Comparatively, I found the first "Ant-Man" to be a more complete package, but this sequel still offers a good time. When it comes to the product, I really enjoyed the 4K release of the movie. The sound and visual quality were top-notch, making for an immersive viewing experience.

A new Marvel comics movie. Sequel to 'Ant Man.' You might have trouble getting into this if you've not seen that. Along with 'Captain America: Civil War'. And you won't understand one scene if you've not seen 'Avengers: Infinity War.' Anyone reading this probably has seen all Marvel films anyway, but you never know. Anyway, this begins with Scott Lang on the straight and narrow, after the end of the aforementioned Captain America film, and determined not to get in trouble with the Feds. But then Hank recruits him for a dangerous mission. That will take him into a whole new world... This isn't a film with quite the same stakes as some of these. It just acts as a direct sequel to what came before. The villains aren't really the most memorable foes to put it mildly. And one member of the cast is disappointingly underused. And yet.. Even though I'd read reviews which said that, I found I started enjoying this after a few minutes in. And remained doing so for the remainder of the movie. Because it does have the same fun and humorous tone that the first did, and it manages to keep that going very nicely. A good bit of fun escapism. No more. No less. So if you want a superhero movie like that, this will suit you fine. As usual with these films, do keep watching to the very end of the closing credits. The dvd has the following language and subtitle options: Languages: English. German. Turkish. English audio described. Subtitles: English, Danish, Finnish, German, Norwegian, Swedish, Turkish. The disc goes into the main menu once loaded without ads or trailers, but you do have to wait a few seconds for it to get through the Marvel studios bit. And as usual with these discs now, it doesn't have any extras whatsoever.

The MCU is a huge thing covering a massive range of characters of which in the grand Marvel history the Ant Man is a rather small thing. However, in film form Ant Man - and now combined with Wasp - is a wonderful side shoot that takes a generally lighter tone which is a welcome break from the heavier films. As such it works wonderfully. The first Ant Man was a surprise hit - but actually fully deserved. This second film has not had quite as good reviews but in reality, I found it more enjoyable than the first. It is lightweight in tone - and that's welcome now and again. The main characters all work perfectly together and the riffing is great. The basic story centres around two threads Frank Pym trying to get his wife back from the Quantum realm with of course help from Lang as Ant Man and the attempts by Sonny Birch to get his hands on the tech. I'll not give anything away as the film deserves to be watched not spoiled. As the film progresses we get mayhem, fun and a little bit of pathos as well. All of this lifts this film up and gives it a genuinely great feel. Unlike some professional reviewers I genuinely think this is a fantastic film easily as good as the first. Highly recommended.

CLASSIC MARVEL FILM

Not as good as previous, once again ideas running low.

This is unlike any superhero movie yet made.Brilliant,funny,moving and exciting in equal measures.I think it is more of a family comedy with elements of a heist and science fiction movie thrown with some superhero stuff for good measure.Of course there are some very good CGI scenes as you would expect.Paul Rudd is as funny as ever and even Micheal Douglas raises a few laughs and there is a great scene stealing turn from Michael Pena.All in all a very enjoyable movie that even those not enamoured of Marvel could enjoy.I might also say that it was lovely to see Michelle Pfeiffer back in a small but telling role looking as beautiful as ever.The bluray looks great and their are enough extras to satisfy the geek in all of us.

In keeping with the previous film this is a light hearted romp into a fantasy world all of its own. The acting is good, the storyline is sufficient and the CGI, as usual, is superb. It does not take itself seriously, so do not expect a hard hitting serious film. There are a lot of action scenes and humour spread throughout and I thought it was a great film to put your feet up to and chill out. I watch films to be entertained and this one did the job. I will watch it again in the future.

I have watched this recently. The interaction between Scott and Cassie and Hope with Hank and Janet I think make the core of this movie good. Without that family core and the interactions it might not be as good. The car chase for the lab and one of the villains wanting to steal it felt like filler scenes in some cases. Scott's scenes with Hank and Hope had funny moments though the funniest might be being possessed by Janet then not thinking it worked. It was mostly happy. The character of Luis can get annoying in anything more than small doses. The end was somewhat sad but lead us into Endgame. I was also amused by the drumming ant. I did enjoy this purchase and will watch many times thank you.
