I've had this automatic dog feeder for close to a year now. I can honestly say that it has worked perfectly the entire time and has never had a single issue with dispensing the food. The initial setup requires some trial and error to figure out the perfect feeding quantities. My dog was previously eating two meals per day. I switched it up to three meals per day with this auto feeder so that each meal was the perfect quantity to fit in the bowl without it backing up. I have the feeder dispensing 4 servings per meal. That equals the recommended amount of food for my dog per the bag of food. I also have a large dog, over 80 lb, with larger kibble size. I do not have any issues with it clogging the feeder or dispensing. The best part is that you can record your voice calling your dog to come and eat. It repeats your recorded phrase three times as it is dispensing the food. The reservoir holds a lot of food! I don't keep track of how often I fill it, but definitely not more than once a week. No matter what my schedule looks like, I know my dog is being fed on time and the perfect amount! I love this feeder!

I’ve tried many feeders and the dogness 9L is above the rest.It holds a lot of food which is harder to find, it comes in white which is great and it couldn’t be easier to program. You don’t need directions, it’s so simple and fail proof.You can record something to play at feeding time and the recording is crisp and clean sound. The feeder sits on the bowl so the bowl can’t be moved or pulled out without lifting the whole feeder up. I like That, makes it secure .I use this feeder for a feral cat feeding station and I’ve tried 3 other brands of feeders and dogness was the ONLY one that is still working . It’s reliable and seems to do ok outdoors in a protected/ covered environment.I am hoping the company will make an outdoor auto feeder that is weather proof / UV resistent and have the ability to be either screwed / nailed down to something or against something to make it theft resistent.I know many feral cat colony care takers that have to go every single day to feed the cats and this feeder in an outdoor version could really help them.I’m very excited about this feeder.If I would change anything, I’d make it wider vs taller.It’s a reliable feeder that looks sleek and is super simple to program.Perhaps if this reviews gets a lot of likes the company will make an outdoor version :)

I have two Dogness automatic feeders. The small one I've had for 3 yrs and it's still going strong. I go away for 3-4 days it's good for my 3 cats. However my sitter wasn't going to be able to check in on them, so I purchased the larger one as a backup as I was going to be gone a whole 7 days. We'll let me tell you, I bought my usual 10lb bag of Instinct raw boost healthy weight cat food which filled up both feeders. When I came home, the small feeder was out but the large one was still sooo full! I think I could go away for 3 weeks and the gang would be just fine 😅 (though I wouldn't do that)

I received the replacement quickly, but it was unfortunate that I had to jump through hoops for almost an entire week before something happened. Either way, updated rating for finally getting a replacement.Original: After 8 months, it has decided to stop dispensing food. The motor will make noise, but the propellers will not turn to dispense food. It has this issue whether the dish is empty or if there's food. I sent an email to Dogness 4 days ago, and 2 days ago, and have received no response to either email. I also contacted Dogness here on Amazon and they've decided that because I can't send a video as proof here on Amazon, that they will just ignore my messages instead. The product comes with a 1 year warranty that Dogness refuses to honor for their product that broke in less than one year. Buyer beware, your product will stop working, and the seller will not care.

This is actually my second one I have purchased. The first one stopped working after 14 months so decided to give this brand one more try. I have a 75 lb dog and it allows me to program to feed him at the same time everyday. Also, love the feature to record a message and that there is a battery backup so when the power is off, the setting still remain. We will see how long this one lasts.

I bought this because my schedule is going thru a transition and my doggo was not getting dinner at his regular time. He would be anxious when I got home much later. This has solved that issue. I love that It is super easy to program, lots of options, has nice big bowl and container that stores the kibble. Note this is probably because it’s actually for dogs and not a cat feeder trying to sold as a dog one. His kibble is not giant by any means, but this unit works great! I highly recommend it.

We live in the country, and our cats stay outside. We bought this because all the neighboring cats and possums would show up all night eating all their food, when we had to go out of town.This has saved us so much worry. I have a camera on the cats pen, and saw where other animals showed up all night looking for food. Now, since there is no food dispensed, the cats and possums leave. The timed feature is so good to have. We set timer to feed several times only during the day.No more feeding the neighbors cats, strays, and wild animals.
