Great Product
This is the best I’ve ever used. It clears black spots and prevents acne and pimples. I’ve been using it for the past 3 years and it never disappoints. It’s very effective and I highly recommend it

Emergency remedy like no other
I left my review for 10 days just so that I gave this cream a chance to work. Basically, I had a really nasty spot that just wouldn't improve with well known brands of spot creams. Just to give you and idea and sorry I know this is gross but the combo of hormones, cover up, heat and suncream turned the boil I had on my chin into a monster like no other. It became full of pus and I couldn't seem to improve it. I also started to panic thinking that perhaps the bacteria was spreading because I noticed other smaller spots on my face started to appear, almost like acne. I'm usually quite lucky with my skin and only tend to get one small boil come up on my chin every hormonal cycle and then it disappears again. This particular boil is the one I was having trouble with now. I noticed this cream had excellent reviews so thought I'd give it a try. Like other people have commented, yes it smells relatively strong but more of an antiseptic smell and nothing that would put me off using it day and night. It says you should use day and night. It also says to use on effected areas so I literally just put it on the spots. The cream is thick so putting it all over your face could be a bit much anyway. I think it would be too drying to put all over the face - perhaps if your skin was very oily it would be OK. I remember a beautician telling me once that if you don't moisturiser even trouble areas and you dry out a problem area too much then the skin will produce more oil and then exacerbate the problem. I guess that makes sense. I noticed that it dried out the spot. Within 2 days it had calmed right down. No pus. The smaller spots went in 3 days. I sent daily picture updates to my sister and she couldn't believe how amazing it is - she gets a similar problem and has occasional required antibiotics on and off. Even she commented that this could be worth trying for herself. I had a small spot appear on my forehead recently and that completely disappeared in 1 day! 10 days down the line the boil is really un- noticeable but I will continue using for a while longer. The pigmentation of the skin around the spot has calmed right down and looks normal again. I think it's going to take a bit of TLC for that spot anyway. I noticed that the pore must have been slightly damaged so could flare again. My plan is to use this cream as an adjunct now. So, I'm going to use scrubs, This cream and also started using face masks. I might try and look to buy a similar serum to use. I'm thinking that if I use this all the time my skin might get used to it and won't work as well. I know it's good to change products. I was a little scared to use the cream at first after reading the word acid and that some people mentioned that it tingles. I tried on my forearm first to see if I'd react to it but all was fine. It sometimes tingles and then settles but it's a good tingle like it's doing something good such as antiseptic. I would recommend this product.

Looks good, smells bad
It works, I can promise you that. Verified and all of that taff. I used a small amount three times a day on an otherwise 20 year old nose that had been subjected to vast advanced elite premium grade amounts of oil and other facial debris, while spending my youth eating crisps, pizza and other fatty foods for maximum trash skin appearance, etc. After two weeks the horrible blackheads have reduced significantly - there's none on my T-Zone above my eyes anymore and none on the left and right sides of my nose, the cheeks below my eyes etc, all gone. My nose itself is still an eyesore at point blank range, but it has been very reduced in obvious blackheadedness, etc. Good stuff, very effective, I'm sure in another couple of months my blackheads will be nothing but a memory. However, there is one caveat. It smells like burned plastic / recently lit matches. There's no getting around it. It's an awful smell that due to the fact you're applying it directly onto your nose in most cases, will be ever present and not something you can truly get used to. Worst still, is the fact other people can smell it too. Part of my routine is applying some after my gym session, and after I leave the locker room I always visit reception, and recently the woman behind the desk and the people she was dealing with both remarked they could smell something burning, and then looked around and asked other people if they could, etc. I'm 100% sure the smell of this cream is the reason for that reaction, luckily they didn't pay me much mind. That's quite a smelly cream! If you live alone you might get away with using it before bed, or if you have periods during the day you can use it without needing to be near anyone for a few hours, it's great! Otherwise, expect a lot of funny comments by people nearby. I suppose it's possible I got a defective cream that isn't meant to smell like burnt plastic / used matches - this is my first time using the cream, after all. Oh well, it works and that's all I really care about anyway.

Kind of worked for me
I purchased this cream after reading many positive reviews, and seeing before and after photos. I suffer from adult acne and my skin scars easily (even when I don't touch the pimples). I also have combination skin and some parts get really oily. When using the product for a week at night everyday, it did work, reducing the redness of my acne and clearing up some of the scarring along my chin and jawline. However, I think my skin is super sensitive and I found the cream was too strong, which resulted in it drying my chin area completely and triggering my eczema. I had to stop using the product for 2 weeks to clear up my eczema, which is a shame because the product kind of worked for me. In the near future, I will be using it once in a while for spot treatments and hopefully that won't trigger any dryness.

A brilliant product if you use it correctly
I've been reading reviews in the lower star category just curious to their reasons. What I have found is that people have a fundamental misunderstanding of their skin and the product. 1. If you have acne it's not always because you have oily skin. Dry skin can still get acne breakouts due to hormones. A way to test your skin is to not use any products for 48 hours and look at your skin, if it's shiny and greasy everywhere you have oily skin, if it's dry tight and flaking you have dry skin and if you have both you have combination skin. 2. People are expecting this cream to work immediately or after a few days. That's not how skin works, it can take a month for your skincare product to take effect as the skin sheds only once a month. A breakout will still happen, that's not the products fault it's your hormones. Keep using it for a minimum of three months to see how your skin is changing. It's not about preventing s breakout actually look at your skin during a breakout, if you're getting less spots then it's working if the frequency and amount gets worse then it's not working for you. 3. People are thinking this is a moisturiser and it's not. It's an exfoliant which is designed to take off excess oils and get into the pores and kill bacteria, regardless of you are only or dry you NEED to moisturiser afterwards. If you don't you will be effectively making the skin produce more oils than it did before to combat the creams drying effect. If you use a moisturiser and maybe an oil like jojoba oil, you should be fine. 4. This is a max strength cream, there is a weaker one available if you don't have a lot of break out. 5. This is NOT for sensitive skin, this will react to not sensitive skin and make it a bit irritated because it is killing all the bacteria on the face good and bad. If you have sensitive skin this will trigger it. You can try using the lower strength one but if that's no good then glycolic acid would be better to use. 6. People are using it too much. Again this comes down to people not understanding their skin type. If you're really oily and have very bad acne then twice a day is good for you. If you have breakouts only once a month or so then only use it twice a day during a breakout. After that once a day max is more then enough, and if you don't get breakouts that much then three times a week should be sufficient. 7. This product is good at exfoliating but it's still a cream, and you need to use a micro exfoliant to basically get the dead skin and excess product off, this needs to be done at least once a week but no more than twice a week for dry and normal skin and maybe three times a week for oily skin. And finally you don't need to use this cream everywhere. You can use it on the areas toy break out on and maybe do the other areas once or twice a week or something. I hope this helps people understand this product a bit better.

Maybe a bad batch?
Not sure what’s happened here but most recent purchase of this cream has had the opposite effect to previous purchases. In a nutshell, have been using this with the V55 soap for some years and it’s been exemplary in control of seb derm in my face. However as soon as I opened this recent tub, I noticed a) it smelt different and b) the texture is different to previous purchases. Applied as Norma and I we the next week my face looked like I’d got close to a firework. Itchy flakey bright red and very unsightly. Thankfully I had some of the previous tub in my holiday hashtag and have been using that. Took a week or so but face all back to normal now. I’m wondering if the machine that produces this had run out of the ingredients that normally make it so good. Generally, this stuff is amazing so think that I have been unlucky with a particular batch.

Works really well!
I decided to wait about 3 weeks before I wrote a review just so that I could really see how this product worked. I had a few really sore red cystic spots on my chin which are recurring blind spots that come up every 2-6 weeks. I sometimes also get a few superficial spots around my nose, and occasionally the odd one or two spots on my forehead and cheeks. But my chin is the worst and they are always so sore and red. So I put this on the same day it arrived as I had a massive blind spot coming up and another cystic spot that had turned red and sore on my chin. The next day they were both a lot better! They were definitely A LOT less sore and angry, the redness had gone down and I felt a little better. I continued to use the product for the first 2 days just on the spots (I did use a little more than twice a day though) and they were definitely starting to go down. I eventually started to put a thin layer across my face before I moisturised and I noticed that it started to help my pores and blackheads, slowly but surely (over a week or two). It is really important to note though that salicylic acid isn't a miracle, overnight treatment to flawless skin - it definitely helps those aggravated cystic spots overnight by making them a lot less painful and really helping the swelling and redness go down but it does take a good few days to a week to really work and get rid of the gunk altogether. Also, any of these acids that you start using all over your face will start to boost and accelerate skin renewal by getting rid of dead cells and bringing all the dirt from deep down up to the surface of the skin which means that you can often experience your skin initially getting worse before it gets better! But that's really normal for a lot of people, the spots that come up all at once would have come up anyway at some point but the salicylic acid just brings them to the surface all in one go. The important thing is to bear with it and not get too disheartened (I pushed through the purge phase which lasted 2 weeks or so) but then your skin begins to look sooo much better overall after that because you've really got deep into the pores and cleared all the excess sebum, dead cells etc out. The massive blind spot I had eventually turned into like 4 cystic spots all in the same part of my chin once I started to use the cream and it drew all the gunk to the surface, but they went away pretty quickly after 3 days or so of continued use. This stuff really is amazing and has really helped with those painful spots, I also make sure I now use this cream in conjunction with a good skincare routine to make sure that my deep pores are now super clean and the recurring spots don't come up any more! I think the important thing I have learned though is that any acid can make you 'break out' initially as your skin basically starts to purge but after that it makes a massive difference - so I absolutely love this product and would definitely buy again!

Wowwww...wowwwww....wowwwwww
I'm actually in shock.... actual claims from a company that are actually true.. reviews that are actually true....I have a raised rash that is slightly scaly all over my back and buttocks and back of legs I've looked online and it seems to be premenopausal systems a sort of acne appearing on my body.. I've never had acne in my life or spots to be honest.... these spots/rash were getting worse to the point that i can't wear shorts, skirts, short sleeves tops etc due to these unsightly things on my body which was slowly appearing on my arms too.....I have tried EVERY CREAM going.... then saw this and decided to buy..... and ohhhhh wow after two days the spots/rash on my arms have gone and the rest are far less itchy not as raised and scaly and starting to finally heal....... truly a miracle cream..... now my issue is i'm on my 2nd day and the cream is almost finished they really need to do a bigger tub because at this rate I'll be spending over £100 a month on this cream. I do use an African sponge once a day in the evening (I bath twice a day) I use a salicylic acid exfoliant which also is really helping. After drying myself I use a salicylic acid lotion all over and then use this V55 Max on the top. I'll be keeping this routine for sure!
