The knife that I used was very sharp and I actually cut into the edge of the top plastic cover. I just took a plastic food mat (From Ikea as I recall) and just cut out another one and added a couple of holes to keep it in place, just like the original. I suppose its still possible to cut yourself, so take your time and use a smooth slicing action, as is shown in the youtube video.

This saves the fingers and thumbs to help get thin chicken breast that cook up fast and stay moist using a little corn starch. The knife that I used was very sharp and I actually cut into the edge of the top plastic cover. I just took a plastic food mat (From Ikea as I recall) and just cut out another one and added a couple of holes to keep it in place, just like the original. I suppose its still possible to cut yourself, so take your time and use a smooth slicing action, as is shown in the youtube video.
