GKU D1000 - best ever Dashcam. This dashcam is the best I've seen and I've installed quite a few over the years. The screen size, clarity, and options are world class. I especially like the interior camera which provides coverage of the interior of the car and is adjustable. I don't think you can find a better camera for the price! Installation was simple and the instructions are well written and easy to follow. Works flawlessly. Highly recommend!

Pretty good dash cam for the price. My expectation wasn't too high as its my 1st dash cam, just wanted something that has good image and I don't care for many other fancy features like wifi connectivity, gps location etc.... Moving on, I can see license plate of passing car when I paused the video. That to me its a win. It could be a little challenge to remove the dash camera if you want to hide it from potential thieves. It'd be nice if they can design a better release mechanism. Furthermore the camera can use USB-C to USB-C cable to get power or get power from the 12v cig lighter. I used mine on the USB-C connector closed to my dashboard. If you do not have the USB-C cable, they can send you one on request, note the cable is very long, may be as long as the cable that's used with the rear camera. Camera can be use even if you do not connect it to wifi which I do not plan on using. The video image is not bad, I like the 4k front camera. Lastly customer service is very responsive, excellent. Only time well tell if this dash cam is durable. 4.5 star

THE BEST dash cam I've ever bought. I am happy with the resolution and quality of the videos even at low light. Price is reasonable too.

Audio is clear and crisp video is clear day or night. Cabin night vision is good Its been over 100 degrees outside and it still works perfectly hasnt fell off once doesnt overheat . The app is great connects quick and downloads with no issues . I used this when i use to do lyft.

Only lasted 48 hours in the Phoenix, AZ heat. Installion was a breeze. Didn't like how thin/cheap the cable was for the back camera to the mount. Told myself i couldn buy a new cable. Then realized how narrow the opening for the cable is on the mount. It will be difficult to buy a different cable. The first day the back camera wouldn't work. Assumed it was the cable. Messed with the cable and realized the dashcam wasn't properly connected to the mount. So i got that fix. The next day again noticed the back camera is not working again. Check the cable and the mount and everything seems ok. I couldn't get it to work and left it alone. I drove off and the dashcam falls of the mount. Then i realized the dashcam doesn't lock into place like it should. It just slides off and on. It did lock when i first got it and now it doesn't

Camera works great. Crisp clear video and the large screen makes it niche for viewing if you don't want to use the app. Super easy to install. Very happy with my purchase. The front facing and adjustable in car/rear facing is great interior video. I have a convertible so it is great to be able to have a rear facing camera. It comes with a rear facing to, if you are driving a non convertible car. This would give you 3 views. Front, interior and back.

It is good camera but now days everytime it says start recording while driving on Highway. When I’m driving it says start recording everytime it’s irritating sometimes. Then I formatted card , checked wire it work fine sometime but every time it says start recording lol .

Die nachfolgende Bewertung erfolgte im Rahmen eines Produkttests. Nachdem ich die Kamera bei Amazon erworben habe, kam diese sehr schnell bei mir an. Die Kamera war gut gepolstert aufbewahrt. Geliefert werden einmal die Frontkamera und eine Kamera für das Heck. Die Frontkamera wird in einen freien Zigarettenanzünder gesteckt und die Heck-Kamera wird über Kabel mit der Frontkamera verbunden. Inkludiert sind ein paar Kabel-Halter. Zuerst werden die Flächen, wo sie installiert werden soll, gereinigt und dann eine Art Trägerfolie aufgeklebt. Auf diese Folien werden dann die Kameras geklebt. Ich empfehle vor dem Ankleben einen Testbetrieb, wo man schauen kann, ob die Kameras so installiert sind, dass alle relevanten Bereiche auf den Videos sichtbar sind. Der Halt ist mit dieser Art von Montage aus meiner Sicht sehr stabil. Die Frontkamera kann noch nachjustiert werden (Kugelkopf), die Heckkamera hat nur Raststellungen für „hoch“ und „runter“. Die Montage insgesamt erfolgte ohne Probleme. Alle Kabel sind lang genug und aus meiner Sicht ausreichend für die gängigsten Auto-Modelle. Ich persönlich habe die Kabel nicht am Fahrzeughimmel, sondern am Boden. Die Anleitung ist kurz und knapp gefasst. Es stehen bei der Kamera und Anleitung neben Deutsch noch andere Sprachen zur Verfügung. Nun zum Produkt: Die Kameras (Front, Heck und innen) liefern jeweils ein ausreichend scharfes Bild. Am besten ist hier natürlich die Frontkamera. Vom Aufnahmewinkel werden große Bereiche erfasst. Die Innenkamera (filmt Fahrzeuginneres) ist bei Bedarf ein- und ausschaltbar. Mitgeliefert wird auch eine Speicherkarte mit 64 GB. Das WLAN ist schneller als bei anderen Modellen, wobei ich die SD-Karte immer entnehme und direkt an den PC/Laptop anschließe. Gut finde ich auch, dass die Geschwindigkeit (und das ziemlich genau) und Koordinaten mit aufgezeichnet werden. Das Gerät verfügt an der Frontkamera über einen Bildschirm. Die Verbindung mit der App ist stabil und es stehen viele Einstellungsmöglichkeiten zur Verfügung. Die Parküberwachung habe ich nicht getestet, aber finde die Funktion ebenfalls nützlich (hier kann ich aber nicht beurteilen, wie viel Strom dies verbraucht) und bedarf ein extra Kit. Theoretisch könnte man aber auch eine Powerbank per USB-C an die Frontkamera anschließen. Für knapp 190 Euro nicht das billigste Modell, aber aus meiner Sicht ein gutes Preis-/Leistungs-Verhältnis und vielleicht kann bei einem Sonderangebot hier ein Schnäppchen gemacht werden. Fazit: Ich kann diese Kamera von den von mir gewonnenen Eindrücken ruhigen Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Gutes Bild und viele Funktionen. Hier wurde ein gutes Produkt entwickelt.

Pratique et facile à installé

This dash cam is superb in all aspects. It’s easy to set up, the instructions are clear, the picture quality is great, the screen is large enough for you to view but compact enough so it’s not in the way and it works seamlessly with the GKU App. I like the fact that it has a rear camera included, and both front and rear connections are via usb c. I did have to replace my existing rear hardwire cable with the new one (which was provided in the box) as my old one was only a jack type fitting, but it was easy enough to do. There is also a third, internal camera which records inside the vehicle. As my kit is hardwired (i.e. it doesn’t run through the provided cigarette lighter socket cable), I can also use the GPS and parking mode functions, which are worthwhile in my opinion. You will need a hardwire kit if you want this additional functionality, so please bear that in mind when making your purchase. The GKU App is easy to use and adding the camera was simple enough, once I’d followed the instructions to turn off my mobile data, Bluetooth and any existing WiFi connections on my phone before connecting to the GKU WiFi. It does display a message on your phone saying it’s not connected but that disappears if you go out of your phone settings and then back in again. Once the camera was installed on the app I formatted the sd card (which was also included) and it was good to go. I could view footage from the sd card and download photos and videos if I wanted to. It all worked very well. The main controls are all easy to reach on the base of the dash cam, and the camera displays the various functions clearly. I found it all very easy to navigate, select my time zone, language, etc. If you’re looking for a decent dash cam, at a reasonable price, I would wholeheartedly recommend this one. My previous dash cam was also a GKU and the customer service I received when I had a query was nothing short of exceptional. In all, I am one very happy customer!
