Very accurate and great piece of kit!
After researching online and looking for a smart blood pressure monitor that would sync with my phone I came across the Withings BPM connect. Having already owned 2 Withings products (body+ smart scales and sleep tracking mat) I was confident that this blood pressure monitor would be of high quality. It has positive reviews on almost all websites where it is sold so I was surprised to see so many negative reviews on Amazon. Having had this Withings BPM connect for a few days now, I can honestly confirm it’s a great piece of kit and reasonably priced, especially when purchased on Prime Day! The instructions are provided are clear and straightforward. You just need to download the Withings healthcare app first and follow the instructions. It paired immediately and there were no problems setting it up. The only thing the instructions didn’t make clear is that you have to press the button on the blood pressure monitor immediately after the reading to assign it to the user so it will automatically sync immediately to the health mate app. I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews. I have used it several times a day for the past few days and find it to be very accurate. For those who are leaving negative reviews, I can only assume they have not read the instructions properly or are inadvertently applying the blood pressure cuff incorrectly. Firstly you should ideally take your blood pressure on your left arm (as it is closer to your heart and gives a more accurate reading). You also need to ensure that the cuff fits correctly around your upper arm (not over clothing, it should be used on your bare arm). Lastly the white Withings monitor should be placed on the inside of your upper arm, directly next to your heart. Keep still and keep your arm at waist height if sitting down. You should then get an accurate reading. For anyone who is thinking of purchasing the Withings BPM connect but are worried about the negative reviews, I can personally attest to the accuracy of this device. It is also endorsed by the British Hypertension society.

Expensive, But Worth Every Penny – Accurate & Easy to Use
Yes, the Withings BPM Connect is on the pricey side, but after using it for months, I can confidently say it’s worth the investment—especially if you need to monitor your blood pressure regularly. This device helped me get diagnosed with high blood pressure and allowed me to track my progress with treatment. Seamless Connectivity & Tracking One of the biggest advantages is how effortlessly it syncs with the Withings app (which I was already using for my Withings smart scales). It also exports data automatically into Apple Health, making it easy to monitor my overall health in one place. When I speak to my doctor, I just pull up the app and show my monthly average—no more manually writing down readings! Accuracy & Comfort I’d read concerns about accuracy, and even my doctor was skeptical at first. But after testing it against multiple other blood pressure monitors, including a professional one at my GP’s office, I found the results to be consistently precise. The cuff itself is comfortable, though for larger arms, it can feel quite tight for a few seconds during inflation. Pros: ✅ Extremely easy to use – Just wrap, press, and get instant results. ✅ Syncs perfectly with Apple Health & Withings app – Automatic tracking. ✅ Multiple user memory slots – My whole family uses it for individual tracking. ✅ Highly accurate – Matched results with professional monitors. ✅ Fast charging, long battery life – A single charge lasts months. ✅ No more manual logging – Just open the app and view your history. Cons: ❌ Premium price – Expensive, but you’re paying for convenience and accuracy. ❌ Can feel tight on larger arms – Inflation is quick, but it can be uncomfortable for a moment. Final Thoughts: If you need a reliable, accurate, and easy-to-use blood pressure monitor, the Withings BPM Connect is an excellent choice. It’s smart, seamless, and removes the hassle of manual tracking—making health monitoring simple and stress-free. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! If you take your blood pressure seriously, this is worth the investment.

Works Fine, but Requires the App
If you only ever want to use it with the app, this is a great blood pressure monitor. However, as the results are only displayed very briefly on completion of the measurement, and only one at a time, you have to be very quick if you need to make a manual note of the results. Personally, having tried a combined BPM for the first time, I find that the separate sleeves are easier to fit than the combined sleeve & monitor of this one, particularly if you are on your own. The added weight of the monitor makes the fitting of the sleeve all the more fidgety. Good battery life, and on first glance decent manufacturing quality. So far, the BPM has lost connection with the app once, requiring a complete reinstall. Hopefully it will remain a one-off.

Super consigliato!

I compared my results on the Withings BP against a professional grade WelchAllyn ProBP 3400 series ($900) calibrated handheld blood pressure monitor. The cuff size makes a difference, I used a size 11 (25-34cm) cuff vs. the “one size fits most” built into the Withings BP. I connect the Withings to one arm and the WelchAllyn to my other arm careful to get the same height and arterial alignment. I ran 5 tests then swapped arms and tested 5 more times. Based on the WelchAllyn ProBP it looks like the Withings is the systolic readings were normally within 2pts of accurate but the diastolic readings were off by an average of 4-5 pts. Pulse was within a 1-3 beats. They WelchAllyn was much faster and more accurate because it utilizes the SureBP NIBP measurements that take the readings during cuff inflation vs the Withings that is measuring during deflation. The Hillrom FlexiPort Blood Pressure Cuff is more accurate because it is sized to my arm but it’s meant to be put on my a care giver and putting it on yourself is tricky, but with ability to quickly disconnect the cuff and swap to another cuff it is meant more for a hospital environment. The Withings cuff is easy to put on yourself but I don’t think it is as accurate, also the screen is facing out when you put it on correctly, poor designed choice for an at home blood pressure monitor. But it’s integration with the Withings App is excellent. Overall I’d give it 4.5 stars, with the only negatives being the screen facing outward when correctly placed, the accuracy being a bit off 2-3%, and the cuff tends to constrict more than it need to leading to a slower reading and a bit more painful than necessary. For the price and the App integration I’ll round 4.5 up to a 5 star rating. I also had the original Withings blood pressure cuff I bout 10+ years ago that ran on AAA batteries and this new rechargeable and WiFi version is an order of magnitude better. I even dig how small it rolls up, yeah it’s 5-stars.
