Completely reconditioned my leather boots
This product is amazing. I had used just the boot wax before, but my leather boots have gone through a couple of rough winters without really being treated beyond a bit off a wipe off once a month or so, so they really needed a lift. I was considering taking them to the cobbler to get them fixed up, but I knew it would be pretty expensive for something I should be able to do myself if I could get the right products. This Otterwax kit was the right product. I should have taken a before and after pic but I was too excited to use it to think about that and set to work as soon as it arrived. It completely revitalized the leather, brought a luster back to it, left it soft and supple, but protected from the winter moisture thanks to the wax. It also smells nice and is easy to use with the instructions. I do recommend getting a horsehair soft bristle brush rather than just using the cloth provided, but overall this kit is excellent quality and value.

Good all in one kit for a newcomer to leather care
I got this kit because it was recommended by the manufacturers for my waterproof leather boots, and I liked that it had almost everything it needed in one box. It's a little pricey but for a newcomer to leather care like me it took the guesswork out. It also has a little instruction card that tells you what order and how to do each step of care. Be aware that you'll also need to purchase a stiff brush for the saddle soap cleaning step, and a few soft cloths for some of the other products. I've tried it on a few different boots that have been worn in rain, saltwater, mud and other tough conditions and they all look way better and feel much softer and more supple now. You do want to start this the night before, because you're supposed to wait a while after cleaning with saddle soap for the leather to dry before moving to the conditioning and waterproofing steps. Some of the products had a faint citrusy scent while applying them, it didn't bother me but if you're very sensitive be aware.

Ron Swanson would approve.
I dont normally leave reviews, but being a man who seeks out good products, I felt a duty to come back and do so. I have 3 art portfolio covers that I purchased off of amazon. Full grain leather and in ok condition. They were stiff and likely been sitting somewhere waiting to be purchased. I was interested in getting something to keep the leather protected. Knowing nothing about this world, I went online. I had seen mention of Otter Wax and decided to try it. This product brought a luster in my leather that I had no idea was there. Clean. Easy. Step by step instructions included so if your like me and you’re just getting into leather conditioning, this is a purchase that is every bit worth your hard earned money. It conditions and protects. I will be a returning customer myself and I dont recommend products lightly, but I do stand by my recommendation for this product.

Must have for leather care
Overall this boxed set was a good value. Now that After using it to treat boots, handbags and a leather jacket I know which products I will continue to order a la carte. Leather oil: used this to revive an older pair of leather boots that hadn't properly been cared for over the past couple of years. Worked well and will probably treat them again with the oil before storing them for spring. I let the oil soak in for a 1/2 day before applying the boot wax. Only need to use a little bit, so the bottle should last a while. Conditioner: This has a nice subtle citrus scent that faded within a day (I prefer unscented products though). Apply sparingly, otherwise you may get a dull residue that takes some work to buff out. Used this on new pair of Frye boots (gray) and a light brown leather jacket. The boots darkenes slightly, but then lightened up some 1-2 days later (followed with boot wax). The conditioner provided water resistance, but won't be enough protection if you are wearing them in a wet or snowy climate. This didn't change the color of the jacket, although I definitely should have applied it with a lighter touch. Will use on boots and jacket at least 1-2 times yearly to keep the leather soft and conditioned. Boot wax: This has a subtle piney/juniper scent that I did not like. Luckily it disappeared after 24 hours. Applied liberally to 2 pair of boots to protect against winter precipitation. Also applied very lightly to a natural leather (not dyed or coated) handbag. Great results on all pieces. Should be allowed to set for 12-24 hours, then buff lightly with soft cloth. I will probably use this sparingly on my leather jacket instead of the conditioner next time it needs a treatment. Love this product, but not crazy about the scent. Will definitely keep a tin of this on hand though. Saddle soap: doesn't seem to have an added scent. Worked well to remove water/salt stains from boots before treating with conditioner/wax. Works best if used with a small horse hair brush. Dip brush in water then shake off excess water. Work up lather (creamy rather than bubbly) and work over boots. Wipe off with soft dry cloth snd let dry before treating with other products. This tin will last a long time. Packaging: Everything is nicely packaged in a cardboard box with hinged lid which can be used to store the products. My only complaint is here are no instructions for use on the containers on printed in the box. Looked online to get a general idea of how to use the products. What you'll need: small round horsehair brush to use with the saddle soap, soft cloths for applying conditioner, wax or oil, and clean soft cloths for buffing conditioner or wax. Overall I am very satisfied with the boot care box products and will definitley purchase the wax and conditioner regularly to keep my boots, jacket and leather bag in great condition. The extra care will make them all last a lot longer, and it is great that the only animal by-product is beeswax.

This is a great kit for very effective and pleasantly scented products. It did an excellent job bringing my j Schott jacket back to life and freshening up some boots. Highly recommend!

It isn’t magic. I mean it works but it requires a lot of work. I found the saddle soap directions somewhat confusing but I soon worked out a method that worked for me. Long story short, a leather jacket that belonged to my mother I’d written off from mildew looks like new. Tomorrow I’ll apply the final leather treatment and it will be good to go for another 50 years. The compounds all smell wonderful, nothing chemical or heavy and cloying. Now I just have to find someone who can replace the lining.

Great kit for boot and belt care. A little pricy.
