Algreen 500GPH Rain Barrel Pump Kit

This pump works great for watering my garden from my rain barrel. The pressure is perfect. Without the pump, the water would barely drip out of a 75' hose. While it is not as strong as the water from my house spigot, it doesn't need to be for watering my vegetables. I would give it five stars, but I am not sure how well it is made or how long it will hold up continually submerged in my rain barrel.************Update, I have increased my rating to 5 stars as the pump is still working beautifully having been submerged in my rain barrel the entire time (nearly 5 years) through even through some freezing winter temps.

This pump works but is not very powerful. I have used it with my rain barrel although it does not have enough power to make a sprinkler work. It is much better for watering by hand than using the spigot at the bottom of the rain barrel but I will need to get a more powerful pump to make it worthwhile. Note: I had no idea what type of pump to get and maybe I shouldn't have expected this pump to work for a sprinkler, especially for the price?

This has worked fine for two years now. My front yard is 5 feet above the backyard rain barrels. I laid in long garden hoses. The water flows in the front yard quite well. There is no real pressure in the flow, but it waters the flowers just fine. There is a HowTo YouTube video for cleaning the filter. Quite easy.

Have a rain barrel but never could get the water flowing to the raised garden beds. This little pump works great. Easy set up and good flow amount. We didn't want it to flow too fast (have it going to a soaker hose) so this little pump is perfect. So nice to use rain water instead of pricey city water to keep our small garden watered when it's hot.

Either my pump was defective, or it just doesn't do what it claims to. Even set to max, this pump doesn't even come close to being able to put any kind of water pressure out that's necessary for watering a garden. It worked, and was quiet, but is WAY underpowered for watering.

we bought this to water plants out of a wagon with inverter connected to it. Used it twice then it failed to pump. disconnected it from inverter came in to house plugged it in in sink and nothing buy a low hum. Would not refund or exchange on amazon..

It’s not an external pump

Got this pump today and installed it into my rain barrel with out any problems at all in about 20 minutes. When I turned the pressure up to max. and hooked up a garden hose you could not tell it wasn't hooked to the main water system. Great product and easy to follow instructions. Would definately buy this product again.
