Got a new router with 2.5g ports so bought this to connect the rest of the mesh network. It didn't connect at 2.5g at first and I thought oh bum it's no good. Then I got some cat6 patch leads (my old ones where cat5, as is the cabling in the house) and boom up it came over the cat5 to the sockets, full speed ahead. Happy days.

Switch was easy to install and set up. Great value purchased at £223.98 in prime day sale. I was concerned the built in fan would be noisy, but it turned out that it was inaudible. I have it sitting in my Livingroom behind the TV.

I've used it with NICGIGA AQC113 10Gbps PCIe cards, an Intel i225-lm card, Realtek 8125 onboard NIC and a Realtek 8156 USB dongle (all 2.5Gbps) as well as a bunch of 1Gbps motherboards. It's uplinked to a 1Gbps switch so works well at multiple link speeds. The fan is not silent! Your can hear it from over a metre away. The unit is a bit bigger than my 2.5Gbps switch but has an internal PSU not a power brick. Rack ears were included. I'm using it with CAT6

while this functions OK. Within 6 weeks the fan makes such a loud noise. UNits needs to be turned off when not in use as the noise is just distracting and annoying. The unit functions perfectly fine. If this is going in the same room you work, then avoid this product

The unit came with the incorrect sized power fitting. The bit that plugs into the unit. Luckily i had a spare power unit with the correct size so not so much of a problem for me. And i couldn't say if this is normal for this supplier product. But once that was solved the unit works as expected. To be fair i did not contact the seller - so benifit of the doubt and 4 stars

Can support multiple 10G cables which is very good if you have multiple computers that need to connect to multiple NASs. Great value for money, and great speeds achieved. Fairly quiet.

Glad I didn't spend the extra money for a well known brand... these have been working perfectly.

Ottimo switch 10 Gb non gestito, veloce e stabile. Ho connesso tutte e 8 le porte con connessioni miste, 4x10Gb, 2x2,5Gb e 2x1Gb e non fa una piega, l'autonegoziazione funziona perfettamente. L'unico neo è nella ventola, decisamente troppo troppo troppo rumorosa. Sembra un elicottero sempre ai massimi giri. Ma io ho risolto cambiando la ventola con una Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX con relativo cavo Noctua per abbassare i giri al minimo (vedi foto). Lo Switch rimane ad ottime temperature anche sotto sforzo e praticamente non si sente più nulla. Notare che ho montato la ventola che butta aria sulla scheda dello switch, piuttosto che estrarre l'aria calda. Da mie prove effettuate anche su altri dispositivi questa è la migliore combinazione per un ottimo raffreddamento.

What you get: 2 × 10Gbase-T RJ45 ports (real 10 Gbit/s, Cat6a or better) 4 × 2.5Gbase-T RJ45 ports (backwards compatible with 1G/100M) Tiny fanless metal case, completely silent 12V 1.5A wall-wart power supply (included) Real-world performance My desktop (10G NIC) ↔ Synology DS1823xs+ (10G port) hits sustained 1.12 GB/s (9.4 Gbps) copying large 4K/8K video files. Zero packet loss, rock solid. My three 2.5Gbe devices (PS5, Shield TV, WiFi 6E AP on 2.5Gbe port) all negotiate 2.5Gbps instantly and run without issues. Plugged my old 1Gbe devices into the remaining ports and everything just works – no compatibility drama. Build & heat 100% passive cooling, case gets warm (around 55-60°C under full 10G load) but totally fine. No thermal throttling even after 24-hour file transfers. Feels like a solid chunk of aluminum.
