This product was easy to install as a replacement - no kinks, easy to uncoil, and the material is high quality.

Much easier to use than semi-rigid aluminum duct, but this dryer vent/hose is also much more sturdy than cheap aluminum foil flex ducts - this vent/hose uses multiple layers, it has aluminum foil inside and plastic layer outside, giving you flexible yet airtight connection. Outer layer is grey in color, making it less visible than the usual aluminum flex duct, helpful if parts of the duct are exposed/visible. Overall length is 16 feet. Standard 8 feet flex duct was too short for my installation and 16 feet duct/hose provided necessary extra length, and you can collapse excess duct or easily trim it to desired length (as I did). First few days after installation I can smell a little bit plastic smell when the dryer was running (I guess due to the outer plastic layer), but it was not strong and went away quickly.

I like this product - it looks strong, the wires inside is very hard to cut. 1 star off because the plastic outside is horrible. 1) I'm not sure how well it'll hold before melting. 2) if you cut, the plastic will just tear and tear and tear ...
