You would use regular salt. This is only a preservative. Using nitrates as salt would most likely be highly toxic. Better do some homework!

What teaspoon? They are not all the same. What material? They all vary. A level teaspoon of insta cure#2 might be 4.5 grams. Best to use a scale honestly
