Has a slightly lighter scent. The candle actually makes me nauseous. This is good. Review: Quite pricey for the quantity but for the potency and how similar it is to the actual Santal 33, it is a price I am willing to spend. I usually add a drop or two of this in my diffuser either on its own or blended with a few drops of lavender and a couple drops of sandalwood. Very relaxing and makes the whole house smell clean and inviting. Will repurchase for sure (in fact, at the time of this review, I already have purchased another just as a backup….I don’t want to be without it at any time). I tried a brand claiming to be a Santal 33 dupe that was less expensive….big mistake. I Will never use it so I saved nothing. I highly recommend this brand. I'd encourage you to check the listing here for yourself. Pics, marketing pitch, and product description/details. They are sure to avoid mentioning ANY reference to even a heated ultrasonic diffuser. While warming with an indirect heat (via lightbulb) wax melter is fine and will excite the release of essential oil scent faster (though degrade the carrier oils), exposing this to HIGH temperatures is not and ""may"" almost certainly result in carcinogenic fumes. Hope this gives a general sense of safe use with some common heat sources. **Q: Can I put this in water in my diffuser? Or will it not smell strong and be watered down?** A: Essential oils are very strong. They are meant to be put in a diffuser with water,, or even your bath water.
