I read that it does not work with salt water. But does it work with salt swimming pool?

The information online for this item states that it does not work in salt water. Don’t know if it does in pools.

How do i empty the bags?

Hi, we don't recommend emptying the bags. If you want to use the flood barrier again, kindly put it under the sun for several weeks, and it will deflate, but due to the activation, the beadings will not go back to their original status, and a slimy feeling will occur when deflating, however, this won't affect the second time use. If you want to throw it away, you can just deal with it like normal garbage. The material we are using is non-toxic and can be degraded by the environment. Thanks.

How long before they go back to flat. I am looking at using these for a roofing application and would need them to be full for quite a while

Hi, usually it takes 2 weeks for the activated flood barrier to deflate. But it depends on how the weather goes, and it won't deflate to its original status. If you need to keep the flood barrier activated, all you need to do is keep the product soaked in water, then it will stay activated. However, we still don't recommend using our product for roof application, as it can be up to 66LBs after activation, which may cause damage to the roof. There’s no instructions. I read another persons question below and your answer is to submerge in water? It’s 66lbs?

Hi! We apologize for being vague with the previous answer. To install the flood barrier, we recommend 1), Stretch the tube to its maximum length, that is 5ft. The weight for a non-activated tube is only 1LB, so one person can do this job. 2), Put the stretched flood barrier in water. Kindly be noticed, that it should be long enough to soak this tube. You can either find a small pool or a gutter way, but we suggest it's near to the place you need the barrier. 3), Wait for several minutes before the flood barrier is fully activated, usually, it's 5 mins. 4), When it's fully activated, move it to the place needed. Kindly pay attention, a tube may weigh up to 66LBs in its fully activated status, so to move it, we suggest at least two men do the job. And that's the installation instruction. If anything is unclear, kindly contact us again. We'll reply within 24 hours.

These work so well! We use them during high storm events to divert water and they work so great. They do take some time to get filled so it’s important to get them wet prior to use and they are going to be super heavy and a bit slimy for a LONG time afterwards. We set them in the garage for over a month waiting for them to shrink as they dry. Overall, they work great and are a value since they are reusable.

The water activated Shields were perfect. They saved my patio and possibly water coming into my house. They worked great. They kept the water back like a damn I would recommend them to anybody. Thank you.

in a nut shell, I bought a 4 pack as first time, and floated them in our pool for an hour and half - later a slight rise in parts but nothing that would create a barrier against anything. I live on an island and in hurricane season I was hoping for a garage door buffer, but this is useless, I don't even trust it enough to try. very annoying as I bought 2 packs of 4. I'm leaving it in the pool to see if expands with more time, in which i'll update, but I'm not holding my breathe. OK - here is an add on - some photos to show how little beaded material in each fabric tubes. Even if i added the content of all into one - it would not be enough for one. full it is raised to about 2 inches. Ok third review update - seller has reached out to me - and together we have established that these barriers do not work in salt water pools to activate only chlorine pools - they have said they will issue a full refund since instructions are not specific about this and improve the cautions on the instruction. I’ve improved my rating to 3 stars as I can’t speak for the product any longer but have been impressed by the customer service. Hope that helps.
