My vet said my dog's coat was dry and brittle and that he needed A LOT more omegas in his diet and a daily supplement. He was very itchy too! I thought he had allergies. She said I could try giving him the human supplements...whatever he'd take daily. Fast forward... lots of wasted money trying different supplements and refusal to eat any food with a special topper. So I started searching for a good quality food with the nutrients he needed, but that did NOT taste or smell like fish. THIS FOOD!!! I FOUND THE ONE!!!!! His sister loved it from the jump, but he's even pickier. Eventually, after a slow switch, he is eagerly finishing his bowl of food. One and a half bags down and I already see a huge difference! His coat is soft vs coarse, shiny and he's shedding much less. His itchiness has pretty much stopped completely! His sister's coat is shiny and soft and her dry skin flakes are gone from her black fur! It is expensive, but so is wasting money on supplements that your dog won't take. It's worth it if they are finalky feeling better and looking their best! LOVE THIS FOOD!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Update Oct 8th 2025: This is the best food I have ever fed my dogs. They are thriving, strong and healthy. They are happy and my female still dances for it and twirls and stomps on the ground. ******************************************* My dogs are loving it. My female is dancing for this food. The only other food she has ever danced for is Carna4. They both have great energy and their poop looks perfect. I have all 3 on subscribe and save to switch up the meat. Love the fact that the kibble is low temp baked and the other parts are air dried. Probably as close as you can get to raw feeding. The ingredients are of high quality. My dogs love the taste. They get right to eating it. Their coat is soft and they seem happier and energetic. I think it is worth the price because the better the food the healthier your dog and the less vet visits you will have to do.

I got my rescued Pitt bull 5 years ago he is very very picky , I tried a few premium brands , like Carna4 and VFS for sensitive stomach he never liked any kibbles , I tried other brand also not as pricey but expensive he was never eager to eat . I switched to this Epic kibbles and he loves his food so much he whines at his bowl and constantly requesting more! I used to feed him 3 cups with Carna4 which is super lean he was a healthy weight now with this food I reduced to 2 1/2 cups and he has gained a few pounds so it might have more fat . Nonetheless he loves it and I trust open Farm.

My puppy and my picky eater both love this! I mix with some other kibble, but a great product. My dog had allergies and this has been great for adding some high quality protein food to her diet.

My dog is happy, but a little pricey.

Although my dog has only been eating this for a couple of weeks, it's been a great transition from his previous food. I was looking for something better and healthier than kibble processed in the usual way (factory highest heat cooking that's bad) and this is perfect. I love that I can have confidence in what I am feeding my dog to be of best quality and cooked in best way to ensure the nutrition is there and nothing else.

My 8 yro Maltese smelled and would not touch it. Tried 4 different days, still no go. Gave to a friend with 2 Maltese. One had same reaction, smelled and would not eat it. The other ate some and vomited 3 times. Gave to another friend who says her chiweenie eats anything. He picked through ate some kibble would not eat other ingredients. Maybe takes a larger more substantial dog for their system to tolerate. Seems too strong for smaller breeds. Expensive experiment.

My dogs love this food and flavour. I mix it in with their other kibble for extra flavour. I've purchased this brand a few times. They make great products. Same price on their website but save on shipping with prime.

My dog loves this food!

I use meal toppers for my dogs kibble to switch favour as changing their kibble upsets their belly’s. I got this Open Farm epic blend as a food topper as I’ve used other Open Farm freeze dried raw before. Although this epic blend still works as a topper it is mostly smaller sized kibble with only scattered pieces of salmon and white fish that are harder to find. My dogs still love this topper regardless of how much visible fish is in it. They go pretty crazy for it. My dogs aren’t really picky and they love fish. I love that Open Farm is made in the USA and headquartered in Canada.
