Mac mini M4 Pro の Thunderbolt5 に対応したエンクロージャーを探し、中国のBEELINK, UGREEN を買いましたが、BEELINK はTahoeに対応しておらず外部ストレージからは起動できない問題があり、UGREENのはそもそも認識しなく（初期不良か？）、3度目の正直で実績のあるOWCにしたところ正解でした。 ちゃんと外部ストレージからもTahoeが起動するし、高速だし、言うことないです。 熱対策も万全でBEELINKでは触れないくらい熱かったのがこちらの製品ではきちんと冷却されております。（ヒートシンク構造でファンレスなのも良い） 80Gbps対応のエンクロージャーで困ったらこの製品で。

macbook M1に繋いでいます。サムソンの990PROを入れましたが、内臓SSDより早い3000MB・秒以上のスピードが出ており素晴らしい。本体の熱はさわれないほどではなく、ファンが無いことで無音なのが良い。ちょっとお高いですが、デザインもよく持ち歩くのにも大きすぎない。素晴らしい商品だと思います。

こちらの商品に、「キオクシア EXCERIA PLUS G4 SSD-CK2.0N5PLG4N」を取り付け、 Mac studioのThunderbolt5に常時接続で使用していますが、Macの内蔵SSDと同スピードでスムーズにデータのやり取りが行えております。組み立ても簡単、放熱も上手く出来ており、今のところ熱々になる事なく、ほんのり暖かくなる程度です。 価格は高いですが、中途半端な物を買うと結局満足出来ずに別な物を買い直す事になりかねません。 見た目も好みで、購入して良かったです。

SATECHIのエンクロージャーがあまりにも熱くなり、速度低下があるので買い替え。 サイズは若干大きくなりましたが、速度はSATECHIのものと同じですが高温になっても安定した速度が出ています。白いのでマシですがLEDが少し大きすぎ。全面のロゴ、製品名もいらないので⭐︎-1です。

Mac Studio使用。Disk Speed TestだとWD SN850Xで3500〜3600mb/s が出ている。箱に封入のケーブルは使用せずエレコムのTB5ケーブルを使用。 同封のケーブルはかなり短い上にUSB4なので別途購入する必要があるかもしれない。 TB4の制限でフルにWD SN850Xを生かしきれていないが、反面、熱も抑えられ、 安定性が抜群でノントラブル。プロの現場で十分利用できる。 M.2を搭載後は開けることはほとんど無いが付属の縦長のゴム足だとネジ穴を塞ぐので 別途、蓋側に丸型のゴム足を付けた方が良い。

別途購入したWD Blue SN5000 NVMe SSD 4TBを装着して使用しています。付属のケーブルで3000MB/sを超える速度を計測でき、非常に満足しています。 使用中は本体がそれなりに熱くなりますが、金属製のしっかりとした作りで安心感があります。熱伝導パッドもケースの蓋についており、冷却対策も万全だと感じました。 検証機はM4Max MacStudio(2025)です。

Mac StudioのSSDカスタムしている場合、内臓のSSDには負けます。80GBでは遅すぎるようです。 M4 MacStudioの起動ディスクとLLM用途に利用。使ったSSDは、KIOXIA CK2.0N5PLG4Jです。 現時点での外付けSSDでは最も高速性と安定性が高いと評価されたので購入しました。 OSのインストールは内蔵と遜色なく、タイムマシーンからの移行もスムーズでした。 起動に関しても内蔵と同様簡単です。このキオクシアのSSDは、DRAMレスですが搭載チップのうち ４００GBをSLCキャッシュとして動作させるらしく400GBを超えない限りは本ケースの性能を最大限に 利用できるようです。 またMac Studioには40Gと80Gを両方装着していますが、ありがちな低速に合わせられることもなく快適です。 密閉型のサーバーキャビネットに入れており、常に冷風が供給されているためか設置後の体感温度は冷たいです。

当初、某ブランドの40Gbps ファン付きエンクロージャーを使用していましたが、ファンの回転音がどうしても気になってしまい、また、PCがTB5対応なのに40Gしか出せていないことに我慢ができず、当製品を購入してSSDを入れ替えることにしました（BFセールで値引きされていたことも一因）。 当製品は大型ヒートシンク型のボディーでファンレスのため「無音」なのは当然ですが、SSDの温度を計測すると、なんと、当製品の方が圧倒的に低く抑えられていることに驚きました。 ファン付きエンクロージャーの時は、比較すると、PC内蔵のSSDの方が温度が低かったのに対し、当製品に入れ替えたところ、内蔵SSDより、こちらの方が数度低い結果となりました。 某ブランド購入検討時から当製品は知っていましたが、値段が約3倍するため躊躇してしまいました。後から考えると、最初から当製品を購入すべきでした。 （某ブランドのファン付きエンクロージャーは、返金してもらいました）

Whilst expensive, it absolutely delivers. I have a good consistent speed with no speed throttling due to thermal constraints. Everything else is as it states in the spec I used this on a M4 mini and can confirm 3200 as quoted.

This OWC Express 1M2 is a fantastic enclosure. It's incredibly small and portable, making it easy to toss into a backpack pocket. Paired with the Samsung 990 Pro 4TB SSD, the performance is flawless. I've been editing 4K video in Final Cut Pro on my M1 Max Mac Studio in real-time, and I've experienced zero slowdowns—a huge step up from my previous drives. While it does get noticeably warm under heavy load, it maintains excellent functionality and speed. It also feels very durable, giving me peace of mind when carrying it between home and the office. Highly recommend this combination for demanding creative work!

Muazzam bir ürün, aldığım en iyi thunderbolt 4 kutusu diyebilirim. M1 max çipli mac studio'da, 4 tb samsung 990 pro ile kullanıyorum. Vaadettigi hızları sonuna kadar sağladı. Fiyatı biraz pahalı ama hazır bir ssd alsanız hem daha az performans alırsınız hem de daha fazla ücret ödersiniz, hem de bunda olduğu gibi içindeki m2 değiştirebilir olmaz. Tek eksi yanı boyutu biraz büyük ama zaten genellikle sabit durduğu için benim açımdan büyük bir sorun değil. Şiddetle tavsiye ediyorum!

Il punto di forza non è il prezzo, ma al giorno d'oggi trovare dei prodotti che aderiscono al 100% alle prestazioni e ai dettagli dichiarati dal produttore, è diventato qualcosa di raro che deve essere premiato, con una buona recensione e 5 stelle, in particolare su Amazon e altri marketplace analoghi! Prima dell'acquisto ho controllato le specifiche sul sito di OWC, non c'è un dettaglio che non sia aderente alla descrizione (o migliore), a partire dalle prestazioni specificate espressamente per vari modelli di computer di riferimento. In pratica, l'intero case è un dissipatore in alluminio che mantiene i drive a temperature ottimali senza alcun rumore, grazie all'assenza di ventole attive; il pad termico in silicone è già installato, è sufficiente inserire il drive NVMe e avvitare le 3 viti per completare l'installazione; particolare aggiuntivo che mostra attenzione ai dettagli: OWC fornisce alcuni "piedini" gommati da attaccare sotto al case per evitare sfregamenti e rumori fastidiosi, isolando ulteriormente il case dalla superficie su cui è posizionato. Come mostrato nello screenshot, ho raggiunto circa i 3.5 GB/s sia in scrittura che in lettura, valori addirittura maggiori di quelli dichiarati dal produttore (probabilmente dovuti al drive, più performante di quello utilizzato nei test ufficiali). Il led di stato può essere configurato in modalità "normale", "dim" (luce soffusa) o "spento", attraverso uno switch hardware interno (levetta da spostare), ulteriore dettaglio che in applicazioni specifiche può risultare interessante. Considerando che ho potuto acquistare il case con 4 anni di "garanzia estesa" di Amazon, oltre ai 2 anni di garanzia offerti dal produttore, ho finalmente la sensazione di aver speso soldi per un prodotto di alta qualità.
