Great light if you have a dedicated plug!
We purchased 2 of these night lights and the amount of light they emit is greater than your average 4 or 5 watt Christmas bulb night light. The reason for a 3 star rating instead of a 5 star is the plug on the back of the light is positioned in the middle of the light. The light is so large, 2 3/4 x 2 1/2, that when it is plugged in doesn't allow enough clearance for the second plug on the outlet to be used. So you end up with an entire wall plug dedicated just for the night light. Very poor design planning.I am now looking for replacement LED night lights to replace these so I can us both plugs in the outlet.

Side-by-side comparison of 3 Maxxima Night Lights. This is the clear winner.
I bought all 3 Maxxima LED night lights to use them as night lights in the baby room. The 2 main goals are to see in the otherwise dark room and to see the color of the baby's face without turning on the main light.Compared:1. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0030CDEEY/ Maxxima MLN-50 5 LED Night Light With Sensor (Pack of 2)This version has such an awful blue hue that not only it's useless in observing face hues but also ruins night vision. Otherwise it's pretty strong and efficient, with light projected out of the top side, illuminating the wall and ceiling without shining directly into the eyes. Some light also diffuses through the sides. I would skip this for any uses and choose the 'Warm White' versions instead.2. Maxxima MLN-50 5 LED Warm White Night Light With Sensor (Pack of 2) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A3F1MZE/This is the clear winner. 'Warm White' is somewhat yellowish, but still much better than the 'Normal' one: it is actually possible to observe hues. This is also pretty strong and efficient, with light projected out of the top side, illuminating the wall and ceiling without shining directly into the eyes. Some light also diffuses through the sides.3. Maxxima MLN-50 5 LED Warm White Night Light With Frosted Lens and Sensor (Pack of 2) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A3F4LW0/This is called 'Frosted Lens' but 'Opaque Lens' would be more appropriate. Most of the light is trapped and wasted inside and only a small amount diffuses out. It doesn't really work for lighting a room but I found it useful for local lighting on the kitchen table.Other reviewers complain about fading intensity over time. But for 10$, what would you expect?

So Glad I Found These
At first I was upset that I had to buy a two pack, but it only took an instant to see that I could use the additional light. I love the sensor. I have one setup in the master bathroom and one at the end of the hall. Love not having to switch them on and off. I had originally put one in the front bathroom, but since that room is dim, the light remained on at all times. The light display is a cool ice. Could be a little spooky effect given the right set up. The light given is subtle. I can leave the door open and it doesn't disturb or distract when trying to go to sleep. So in a nutshell:Pros: provides enough light to see without straining, but not so much light that it disturbs. No need to turn on/offCons: Uses one socket, but big enough to prevent use of 2nd socket No ability to manually turn on/off. (I know that's the purpose of buying one with a sensor, but it's nice to have a choice.)Given the choice of having to manually turn on or off or have a sensor, I will happily choose and be content with the sensor.I am now going to purchase another set. :-)

Amazing!!!! Exactly what I needed!
As I write this, my newborn is 7 days old. We are trying our hardest to get into a night time routine, but we want to keep it at that - night time. I was previously using some 4-7 watt incandescent night lights, but they simply did not provide enough light for me to see what I was doing during diaper changes, and it's a pain to use a flashlight while trying to change a diaper. Enter the Maxxima MLN-50 night light. I bought these based on the positive reviews I had seen, and they are exactly what I needed. I have placed them on 3 of the 4 walls in the nursery (left out the crib wall), and they provide the perfect amount of illumination to see what we are doing, without creating an environment that is too bright for the baby. I attached a picture, which might not do it justice, but it should hopefully give you an idea of how well they work.

Perfect bathroom or stair nightlight
This is a pretty bright nightlight, but as it’s amber, it works well for me. I’ve bought these sets twice- I keep one in the bathroom, one in the kitchen, and one at the top and bottom of the stairs. The light is bright enough for me brush my teeth, wash my face, and get ready for bed by, so I don’t have to turn on bright overhead lights. They’re bright enough to walk down the stairs by, and get a glass of water from the kitchen by. If you’re someone who avoids blue light sources at night for sleep hygiene reasons, I would definitely recommend them. I also used them to change my kid’s diapers at night when he was a baby- these are great for by a changing table. They have lasted without any issues for over 4 years, so they’re durable. However, they are way, way too bright for bedroom use, but great for other areas of your house.

Bright light for hallways
These lights are too bright for our bedroom or on suite bath. We nicknamed them Breaking Dawn 1 and Breaking Dawn 2. They are great in hallways and bathrooms that do not attach to bedrooms.

When you want or need an absolutely bright, specialized night light....
These are absolute top quality night lights. They are very bright, and are not suitable for bedrooms or for any area that you would want to keep mostly dark. I use mine in an office bathroom, at the foot of a stairway where visibility is important for safety, and in storage sheds (outbuildings). If you want good nighttime lighting all the time, and particularly, if you don't want to go around switching lights on and off, these provide superb nighttime visibility. Nothing else I have tried compares, and the price for the cool white is great, considering the quality.

Light sensor doesn't working properly
Very bright light which I like ( will be too bright for bedroom). However, I bought this one with a sensor wanting it to be on automatically when it is dark. The light is still on when my room is filled with sunlight in the morning, maybe dimmed a little bit. I will end up using more electricity so I had to buy a timer plug for it.

Excellent Nightlight - VERY bright
Wow - bright white LED lights! These will light up quite a dark area very well. I'm very satisfied, and where I had 2 or 3 single LED nightlights before, I now have one of these and it is way brighter. That is the only drawback - these are VERY bright. If you want these in a room which is to add a soft light, these are not for that purpose. I use them in areas where I want to ensure I have good light in the dark, light downstairs hallways. They are perfect for that!

Brightness is better than other units
Wasn't sure about brightness as I was disappointed with other lights. These are great for the kitchen at night. Comes on at dusk and is bright enough to manuevre around a kitchen at night without needing regular lights on. Would buy again. Lights not "soft" enough for a bedroom nightlight though.

Too bright
This product turns on when there isnt sufficient light. It also seems to change the brightness depending on how dark be room is. For example, it seems to dim in a pitch black room as to not blind you. However it does not dim enough. This light is far too bright to be used as a night light in my toddlers room. I even used one in the hallway and still find it to be brighter then necessary.
