Once again Fifth Cue has done a remarkable job of a great quality product. The 6ga. Captive ring I just received is everything that was described and then some. It's a high quality product at a very reasonable price. Only one thing that needs to be known to prospective buyers. This is not a cheep spring loaded captive bead on this captive ring. It is a pressure fit tension bead meaning the bead is held in by the tension by ring itself. If you do not have the proper tool to install the bead then either purchase on or go to your piercer and have them install it for you. You are not going to do this without the property pair of pliers made for captive rings. You will not be able to just use a common pair of pliers or needle nose pliers. The tension on this Ring is great and it is virtually impossible for the bead to pop out if installed properly . It's not a easy task to install or remove without the property tool. This is the third time I have purchased a product from this company and its a very upfront company with great customer support and service. Bad reviews on this captive ring are not do to the product it's do to improper installation of the bead . The product explanation states everything that is needed to be known about it. No need to be skeptical about doing business with Fifth Cue they are a great small family owned company that stands by there products long after the sale. Went on easy (as earrings), not too obvious - subtle enough to be worn at work without people getting offended. A bit larger diameter than expected - maybe because it's intended to be a belly ring? not sure.. but not so big that it's not suitable as earrings. I love it when people catch the glint of color and do a double-take.

I ordered 2-4g rings, but got 2-2g rings! I was ready, maybe some are not, to skip a gauge, and these were very good!! Regular ring plyers may not work for others, as this size is extremely strong, and a professional may be needed to but them in for you! My professional plyers worked for me!

This product is great, but NOT AS PICTURED. The ring pictured is a traditional captive bead, where the bead is not actually full spherical, but has flat indentations on either side to readily form the flat sides of the ring. With a stretcher, these are fairly easy to put in. THIS PRODUCT is a tension bead ring, with an almost entirely spherical bead with only small (1 millimeter) indentations to meet with the points/edges of the bead. Even with a stretcher, these beads are very difficult to put in, and overworking the ring can cause them to not hold the bead at all. Again, good product, but be careful and understand what you are getting.

these are made so that they are unsafe to put on and take off of your body. Anything that requires a tool to put on or take off puts you in a very difficult situation if you should need to remove it and are not carrying your body jewelry tools in your pocket. This is very impractical for almost everyone out there. I have been wearing body jewelry for 40 years and this vendor seems to be proud of how tight they are. it makes them impossible to use for most people. It's like fifth cue is proud that it's difficult! nobody wants to wear their body jewelry for months at a time, so if you have to go into a shop to get it removed and put in, it's gonna be a real pain in the behind.

There is no way that this cbr can have the ball inserted or removed while wearing it, and I've got a decent pair of pliers.
