The best way to get an accurate estimate for daily feeding amounts for your dogs is to visit our website and use the Calorie Calculator. The calorie estimate given can be applied to our Daily Meals and Veterinarian Support Diets. Please note that we cannot account for your dog's specific metabolism or energy level so the amounts generated are just an estimate to use as a starting point when feeding your pups our foods. You will want to monitor your pet's weight closely while transitioning to our foods. If you find that your pet is gaining or losing weight after a couple weeks of being on our food please adjust the feeding amount. It may take a few adjustments up and down to find the right amount to maintain your pet's recommended weight. Our packages are good in the freezer for up to one year as they are vacuum sealed. Once they are in the refrigerator, the diets that do not contain any fish are good for five days (once opened and thawed) and the diets containing fish are good for just three days. Yes, I usually prepare the turkey recipe but occasionally will prepare the chicken. When I do, I boil chicken breast, chicken livers & gizzards for the recipe.
