Worked great - added a bluetooth adapter to my older car stereo - the adapter has a USB plug. I didn't want to snake the USB cable to the cigarette lighter, this kept everything behind the dash. Clean install, power works fine, connection is tight. Handy little thing to have.

Monté dans mon camping-car. Simple à installer et fonctionne sans émettre de lumière qui empêche de dormir.

Works quite well. Tested at 12.3 volts input , it will actually deliver 3.0 amps at 4.93 volts which is better than I expected. (NOTE: One of my USB power meters turns out to not have a good connector, making my initial impression much worse.) I enclose some measured voltages with an adjustable USB load, from no load up to I=3.0 amps. It does not get very warm. Peak efficiency is 0.89 at 1 A, and it is still 0.82 at 3 A output. Quiescent draw (no output load) is 6 mA at 12.3 V input. I wish the MFR would publish this kind of data but I guess they figure no one cares.

so for all you people that like to add toys to your vehicles and hide them, this is the way to go, you can tap in to your rearview mirror cable and run you this in your headliner and not have any cables hanging down in the window or have to run that cable across and down to the cigarette lighter plug for your dash cams or radar detector or even you phone mount power cords.
